Sonic Connectors, A Superior Energy Services Company is currently seeking a CAD Draftsman to join our team in Midland TX (On-Site 5 days a week).

The CAD Draftsman is responsible for assisting in design and drawings of manufactured materials within API GA requirements, and to ensure compliance with company quality standards.

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge and comprehension of API 6A requirements
  • Create and revise 2D drawings and 3D CAD models for parts and
  • Produce fully-dimensioned, manufacturing drawings and wellhead stack-up
  • Convert sketches, prototypes, and supplier data into CAD models for parts and
  • Collaborate directly with engineering department to support sales, operations, manufacturing and other departments as necessary.
  • Prepare Bills of Materials (BOMs), material lists, revision histories, and fabrication/assembly
  • Assist engineering with work instructions, operational procedures and technical
  • Maintain CAD library, templates, standards, and drawing revisions and control/drawing release procedures.
  • Support engineering department with projects, design testing and other similar
  • Support inspection/quality department by supplying drawing documentation and revisions after production feedback.
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements: 

  • High school diploma
  • Experience working in an Oil and Gas Industry preferred
  • Minimum of two (2) years of design for Engineering CNC Manufacturing focused

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with CAD software, including Inventor Professional, Fusion 360, SolidWorks or Ability to adapt to new design tools and technologies
  • Strong knowledge API 6A standards in design and manufacturing
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills

Physical & Safety Requirements:

  • Sitting, bending, standing, walking, 8-10 hours per day
  • Able to lift 40 lbs.
  • Must comply with any safety or PPE requirements
