Job Summary
The Arch Insurance Technology team has responsibility for solving human, technology, and business problems with innovative solutions. The Enterprise Architect, internally known as Domain Architect is someone who focuses on technical solutions and technology strategy for the domain (made up of multiple products and systems) to ensure technical solutions are of the highest standard, solutions are consistent with inline with the overall technical strategy of Arch, code and deployment efficiency, and technical, solution, and engineering best practices.The incumbent will be an experienced, dynamic, solution-focused professional who is strategic, technology savvy, and focused on determining and delivering solutions that drive the most value. The focus would be on Enabling Technologies which includes Interoperability Layer (Mulesoft, Workato, Boomi), Intelligent Automation (Uipath, IDP tools), Digital Partners and Core Platforms – Insurance platforms (Insurity PDE and Sapiens PolicyWriter)
*This is a hybrid, twice a week role in our Raleigh, Jersey City, or Hartford offices.

Provide support in defining and establishing KPIs/OKRs that help measure the domain success from a technology standpoint
Strategy

Create Technology roadmaps to ensure alignment with strategic direction of enterprise and domain, tech debt, modernization, rationalization, simplification

Accountable to prepare solution design options with clear pros and cons

Have an "enterprise perspective" and closely collaborate with fellow architects and security personnel to ensure and influence cohesive/efficient solutions meet enterprise direction

Identify impacts and needs from other products to the solutions presented

Captures & prioritizes market and technological trends, and identifies business benefits of alternative strategies

Understand emerging technologies, Define ROI and competitive edge for innovative next generation technology solutions

Collaboratively work with product and technical resources to understand problems and identify and guide solutions
Technical Management (Delivery, Product, Operations)

Monitor and report on technical health and maturity of domains

Recommend technical solutions for the domain to ensure consistency and engineering practices that support the business outcomes and solutions in-use across the competitive landscape

Drive tech debt reduction, application/platform security, and compliance awareness

Provide support and guidance for technical proof of concepts and evaluation

Ensure technical/architecture documentation for the domain is up to date and complete in compliance with enterprise standards
Education & Experience

Required knowledge & skills would typically be acquired through a Bachelor’s Degree in business, computer science or related field (or equivalent in experience) with at least 7 years related experience

Interopoerability Layer experience - Mulesoft, Workato, or Boomi
-
Application and service modernization including Cloud, Microservices, RESTful APIs, DevSecOps and containerization.
-
Has experience with workbench that scales horizontally across different domains.

Knowledge of insurance and/or financial sevices a plus.

For individuals assigned or hired to work in the location(s) indicated below, the base salary range is provided. Range is as of the time of posting. Position is incentive eligible.
$155,000 - $230,000/year

Total individual compensation (base salary, short & long-term incentives) offered will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to geographic location, scope & responsibilities of the role, qualifications, talent availability & specialization as well as business needs. The above pay range may be modified in the future.
