Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Senior Domain Architect to define and govern the future of the Digital Workplace.
You will be responsible for rebuilding and modernizing the Workplace domain by defining the strategic direction, standards, and multi-year roadmap required to support a secure, modern and manageable workplace environment.
This role spans device management, workplace security, endpoint management, print services, software distribution, observability, operational governance, and lifecycle management.
The role has a strong enterprise-wide impact and requires a strategic mindset focused on establishing sustainable architectures and operational models rather than managing individual technologies.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Define the Workplace Strategy
- Develop and maintain the mainly Microsoft based Workplace Architecture vision and roadmap.
- Define workplace architecture principles and standards.
- Create future-state reference architectures.
- Drive modernization of workplace services and capabilities.
- Evaluate emerging workplace technologies and trends.
- Create solution deisgns and give direction
Own Enterprise Endpoint Architecture
Define architecture standards and lifecycle management for:
- Windows Devices
- macOS Devices
- Android Devices
- Mobile Devices
- Corporate End-User Computing Platforms (Intune based)
- Functional Workplace Equipment on Shop Floors
- Enterprise Printing Infrastructure
You will ensure consistency, security, manageability and operational efficiency across the workplace ecosystem.
Endpoint Management & Automation
Define strategic direction for:
- Microsoft Intune
- Device Provisioning
- Configuration Management
- Compliance Management
- Software packaging, Deployment, distribution and updates
- Patch Management
- Endpoint Automation
- Device Lifecycle Management
You will establish capabilities that enable workplace services to be managed at scale.
Software Distribution & Governance
One of the key strategic topics for this role will be establishing control over software consumption.
You will define the architecture and governance for:
- Enterprise Software Portal
- Self-Service Software Delivery
- Approved Software Catalogues
- Automated Deployment
- Software Lifecycle Management including auto updates
- License Governance
- Software Compliance
You will create the framework required to reduce software sprawl while improving user experience and operational control.
Workplace Security & Access Governance
Working closely with the Security and IAM Architects you will define:
- Endpoint Security Standards
- Device Trust Models
- Software Installation Controls
- Compliance Enforcement Mechanisms
And align with IAM and security architect
- Conditional Access Controls
- Temporary Administrative Access Governance
- Privileged Access Governance
Workplace Control
Define architecture standards for:
- Device Monitoring
- Software Inventory
- Compliance Reporting
- Operational Dashboards
- Asset Visibility
- Device Health Monitoring
The goal is to establish full visibility and control over the workplace landscape.
Governance & Adoption
You will establish:
- Architecture Principles
- Architecture Governance Model for workplace
- Workplace Standards
- RACI Structures related to workplace architecture
- Reference Architectures
- Implementation Guidelines
