We currently have a vacancy for an Documentation & Training Specialist fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert will be based in Valletta, Malta. The work will be carried out either in the company’s premises or on site at customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated in the team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team on site.
Your Tasks:
- Drafting Product/project technical and non-technical documentation;
- Training Material Preparation;
- Documentation Maintenance;
- Drafting other types of documentation such as guidelines, instructions, manuals, etc.;
- Coordinating and moderating training sessions in support of change management activities for ongoing projects/activities;
- Maintaining and organizing documentation for optimal use/retrieval;
- Capturing training needs analyses, based on change impact of project/product;
- Designing project/product training programs to meet business adoption targets;
- Producing or updating existing training materials (content and method);
- Adapted third-party training material to support individual competence development in line with organisational needs;
- Delivering effective training in different modalities, including classroom and on-line;
- Monitoring and reporting on effectiveness of training;
- Performing Editor and proof-reader roles by participating in peer reviews;
- Creating ‘How-To’ videos/presentations.
Requirements
- University's degree in IT or relevant discipline, combined with minimum 6 years of relevant working experience in IT;
- Experience creating manuals, guidelines, instructions, and training materials;
- Experience in requirements gathering and business analysis skills;
- Experience designing and delivering training programs
- Ability to draft and maintain technical and non-technical documentation;
- Ability to monitor and report training effectiveness;
- Knowledge of documentation standards and version control practices;
- Excellent command of the English language.
