Documentation Manager
Summary
Responsible for handling all project-related documents using SMS standards, and organizing, and tracking them for the duration of the project. Submission of relevant documents to the client in desired formats and contract schedule.

What you’ll do
- Defining the formats for documentation, filing and the systematics of document exchange using standards and practices provided by the SMS document management system
- Transmission of drawings, lists, manuals and other contractually agreed documents to external project participants (e.g. customer, consortium partners, etc.)
- Using the project-contract schedule to track document-related deadlines for internal and external interfaces
- Central point of contact for the project manager for the preparation, handover, monitoring, internal distribution and follow-up of transmissions to external stakeholders
- Passing on relevant information to those responsible for the project
- Reporting of document management status
- Assembling technical data for customer operations manual
- Collaborating with Project management, Engineering, and Purchasing colleagues to meet deliverables
- Final update of the contractually guaranteed documentation transmissions
- Tracking time for each project
- Attending team meetings with SDE Document Management team
- Updating SUS staff with DC software process changes
What you’ll need
- Engineering Degree, Technical Writing Degree
- 2-5 years of experience as a professional document manager in complex projects in the industrial goods sector (preferably plant construction)
- Good communication skills
- General technical knowledge
- Print reading
- Communication skills
- Familiarity with AutoCAD drawings
- Attention to detail
- Microsoft Suite of Tools (e.g. Excel, Word, Project, SharePoint, PowerPoint) (strong WORD skills)
- SAP knowledge a plus
- Document Control Software knowledge is essential. Can be D3, Aconex, Docuware, or internal systems.

Skills Required
