The Opportunity:
We are seeking a professional to create and maintain technical documentation for a training lab. Legacy Technical documents include wiring diagrams, elevation drawings, and configuration drawings, Excel spreadsheets, and MS Word. For this development, the Documentation Engineer will create new artifacts in line with the development using co-hosted open-source tools.
Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and operate modern open-source tools to:
o Manage knowledge base for the project in-line with the development system
o Create a shareable wiki on the system
o Create configuration drawings
o Share product status
o Track task completions

Document changes to fielded equipment as directed by the customer, including:
o Design documents, including wiring diagrams, wire lists, port allocations, and bills of materials
o Production information, including bill of material part numbers and quantities

Work with Operating Environment (OE) engineers to fully document installation procedures, start-up procedures, modification check lists

Maintain documents to align with periodic program releases
Qualifications:
Required:

Ability to work with a technical team in a lab environment

Knowledge of open source tools such as Obsidian, Taiga, Outline
-
Experience with task tracking software (Trello, Monday, Notion, etc.)

Must be able to obtain a security clearance (Must be US Citizen)
Desired:

Proficiency with Visio or equivalent drawing tools

Proficiency with Excel and Visual Basic

Knowledge of Intel processors, Linux OS, or VMWare products

Working knowledge of Aegis Combat/Weapon Systems

Active SECRET level clearance

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$60,600 - $121,200
