Summary
 

The Document Control Manager will work closely with engineering, quality, regulatory, production, and supply chain to ensure Engineering Change Orders and Deviations (Changes) provide adequate information and are processed in a timely manner. The manager will also be responsible for people management and have an accountability for the document control agenda. Document control is responsible for the workflow and electronic records keeping in PLM software Arena. Besides this role, the manager also oversees PE (Product Engineering) organization.

Your Tasks:

• Provide leadership to teammates in document control through effective coaching and mentorship. Provide technical and document control guidance to the team.
• Lead the team with inspiration to achieve goals and improve effectivity.
• Plan and prioritize tasks and ensure workload balance.
• Manage personnel development and team competencies by identifying the strengths and weaknesses of team members, thereby guiding development in alignment with evolving technologies and requisite capabilities for successful delivery of development projects.
• Lead the team in fulfilling Document Control requirements as stipulated by Quality Management System standards.
• Drive continuous improvements aimed at achieving high standards within the document control team by promoting the best practices and constructive habits.
• Facilitate ongoing enhancements within Document Control, ensuring deadlines are met, and improving Engineering Change Requests (ECR), Engineering Change Orders (ECO) cycle times, and status reporting.
• Oversee the workflow and electronic record-keeping of Engineering Change Orders and Deviations within PLM software.
• Collaborate with various departments to create Engineering Change Orders and Deviations, adhering to their guidelines as defined in PLM ECRs.
• Ensure all departments adhere to correct release procedures related to the Change control process.
• Administrate ARENA access, control, and troubleshooting alongside ARENA suppliers.
• Project planning and product ownership in PE (product engineering).

Your Profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business/Economy/Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience as a document control or product lifecycle specialist/manager, preferably in technology industry.
• Experience with a variety of documentation programs (particularly MS Excel, MS Word, and Adobe Acrobat).
• relevant PLM experience (Arena Solutions is a plus, but not required).
• Proficient in spoken and written English.
• Proficient in Czech/Slovak.
• Ability to analyze complex information and summarize it into a concise, easy-to-read text for reviewers.
• Detail-oriented person, ability to spot errors at a glance, and organize tasks methodically.
• Technical background with the ability to collaborate and work cross-functionally.
• Occasional travel. Less than 10% of work time a year.
