Job Description

Are you a natural networker who knows exactly how to turn a great book into high-impact PR coverage? Then keep reading…

We are looking for an experienced Publicity Manager to become the champion for Sourcebooks and Canelo authors and titles across a range of genres spanning fiction, narrative non-fiction and children’s.

You’ll use your proven expertise and experience to lead sales-driving publicity campaigns. We need someone who loves building high-impact media campaigns, securing traditional and digital coverage, planning and executing book tours, and nurturing deep relationships with journalists, festivals, and bookshops.

Reporting directly to the Campaigns Director, you will take full ownership of end-to-end publicity campaigns. A typical week will see you:

  • Writing compelling press releases and building bespoke publicity plans that secure print, broadcast, podcast, and online coverage.

  • Pitching across the full lists to journalists, bookshops, literary festivals, and event partners to grow massive awareness for our authors.

  • Managing relationships with authors and agents, providing them with top-tier support, guidance, and interview prep.

  • Working extensively with our Sales and Editorial teams, as well as the Sourcebooks US team, to provide proactive internal and external updates.

  • Developing long-term strategy for our brand authors, pitching for serial rights, and independently managing your campaign budgets with a sharp eye.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a creative, proactive, and highly organised communicator, with a track record of  delivering high-impact campaigns and working with high-profile authors or brands. Our ideal candidate will be able to:

  • Juggle a varied workload and possess the professional maturity to pivot campaign directions when necessary.

  • Demonstrate absolute confidence when pitching to press, festivals, and partners.

  • Understand how great PR directly drives book sales.

  • Bring a positive, collaborative energy to a dynamic team.

This is a very exciting time to join DK, and because this is a newly created position, you will have the unique opportunity to shape the role and bring your own vision to the table.

If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, love delivering elite author care, and want to join a top global publisher during a time of significant growth, this new role is your perfect next step.

Please apply with your most recent CV and cover letter, if you are interested.
