Overview

We are seeking a Divisional Vice President of Power to provide executive leadership for the growth, operations, safety, profitability, and long-term strategy of our Power Division. This role will oversee electrical construction and power services while helping expand capabilities in natural gas facilities, battery energy storage systems, substations, utility and industrial power distribution, and related electrical infrastructure.


The Divisional Vice President will be responsible for divisional P&L performance, business development, resource planning, project execution, customer relationships, and building a qualified electrical workforce.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute the Power Division’s business strategy, growth plan, and market expansion efforts.
  • Lead operations for electrical construction, power distribution, substation, battery storage, and related infrastructure projects.
  • Oversee project performance from estimating and preconstruction through execution, commissioning, and closeout.
  • Manage divisional budgets, forecasts, backlog, margins, cash flow, and key performance metrics.
  • Build and lead high-performing teams, including operations leaders, project managers, estimators, field leaders, craft professionals, and technical specialists.
  • Support business development, proposal strategy, contract review, customer negotiations, and major pursuits.
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, profitably, and in compliance with applicable electrical codes, safety requirements, and company standards.
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers, utilities, engineers, suppliers, subcontractors, regulators, and industry partners.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, construction management, business, or a related field preferred; equivalent executive-level experience may be considered.
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in electrical construction, power delivery, industrial electrical systems, energy infrastructure, or a related field.
  • Proven experience leading teams, managing P&L responsibility, and growing or scaling an electrical or power-related business.
  • Strong knowledge of medium- and high-voltage systems, substations, power distribution, utility interconnections, testing, commissioning, and project delivery.
  • Experience with natural gas, industrial, utility, renewable energy, battery storage, or mission-critical energy facilities preferred.
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts, estimating, scheduling, procurement, project controls, safety, quality, and financial forecasting.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, customer relationships, and decision-making skills.
  • Relevant professional licenses or certifications are preferred.

Other:

  • Ability to travel regularly to project sites, customer locations, offices, and industry events.
  • Ability to work in office and active construction-site environments.
  • Valid driver’s license is required if driving is an essential function.
  • Employment is contingent upon required background, drug, and alcohol testing.
