Chubb Tempest Reinsurance Ltd. invites applications for the position of Division President. Reporting to the SVP, Chubb Group and President, Chubb Tempest Re, the duties for this position include, but are not limited to:
- Direct underwriting responsibility of US book of property reinsurance and International book of property reinsurance and Specialty reinsurance.
- Manage team of underwriters.
- Establish and monitor price decisions and aggregate accumulations.
- Set strategic and tactical goals for company’s success.
- Market the company to clients and intermediaries.
- Present company’s results to parent company on a quarterly basis.
- Coordinate activities with other Chubb Group of Companies.
- Work within management team to co-ordinate with other Chubb Tempest companies.
- Oversee and coordinate underwriting, marketing, actuarial, claims, IT and technical functions of company.
- Provide leadership for highly motivated and skilled team of professionals.
- Manage worldwide portfolio of catastrophe risk and set underwriting guidelines.
- Overall management responsibility for the continued growth and success of Chubb Tempest Re Bermuda.
- Minimum of 20 years of relevant insurance or reinsurance experience.
- In depth understanding of reinsurance accounting and claims.
- A numerate degree from an accredited institution.
- Technical acumen pertaining to cat models and portfolio optimization
- International experience required.
- Experience in all lines of Property and Casualty reinsurance.
- ARe or CPCU designation preferred
- Extensive broker and client relationships.
- Experience in structuring and pricing reinsurance programs.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience leading and managing a team of senior underwriters
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and work extended hours and weekends when required.
- Travel required.
