Major Duties :
1. Leads multiple divisions in the PCA department; Key functional responsibilities include overseeing fund accounting, fund administration, and financial reporting
2. Responsible for the development and enforcement of controls within the operations of the unit, ensuring that the control and risk environment in the area is at the highest possible level
3. Work with Northern Trust technology partners to automate the operations of the unit(s). Directly oversee automation projects and ensure targets are met
4. Seasoned multi-disciplinary expert with extensive technical and / or business knowledge and functional expertise
5. Focus of role is on execution of strategic direction of business function activities
6. Carries out complex initiatives involving multiple disciplines and/or ambiguous issues
7. Displays a balanced, cross-functional perspective, liaising with the business to improve efficiency, effectiveness and productivity
8. Makes staffing decisions, manages expenses and salary review process for the division
9. Participates in developing division strategic plan and sets goals and priorities based on the direction set for the unit; follows through to ensure that objectives are met
10. Seasoned leader with extensive business experience, and broad functional expertise, with focus on proactive strategic leadership
11. Responsible for managing multiple units or functions through the direct management of a group of managers
Skills & Experience
For internal applications - 12 months as Division Head(M5)
Excellent oral and written communication skills are required
In depth knowledge and experience in the management of a large scale or complex operations, preferably within the alternatives sector
Knowledge of business strategy development is necessary to provide long term planning and to manage the profitability/performance of a major business segment
Leadership and organizational skills are required to direct the activities for the multiple units
Highly flexible and adaptable to change
A College or University degree and/or relevant proven work experience is required
