You will oversee receiving, storage, and delivery operations while maintaining inventory integrity. In this role, you will organize and monitor daily activities and workflows, drive continuous improvement in a safe and efficient manner, and ensure warehouse objectives are met through standardized processes. You will also optimize staffing through cross‑training and development initiatives to maximize productivity.
Responsibilities
- Foster a culture of safety, inclusion, engagement, continuous improvement, and teamwork.
- Develop team members' skills and abilities through 1:1 meetings, coaching, timely feedback, and clear expectations.
- Oversee team performance, output, and adherence to operational standards.
- Achieve distribution center objectives by delegating work, setting priorities, monitoring progress, resolving issues, and providing detailed shift reports.
- Partner with HR to address personnel matters, including gathering information, investigating issues, identifying solutions, and recommending appropriate actions.
- Maintain inventory accuracy across inbound, outbound, and storage activities through best practices, cycle counting, replenishment, and consolidation.
- Lead Continuous Improvement initiatives using Lean methodologies.
- Ensure quality standards through training and enforcement of Process Key Points and SOPs.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment through education, direction, and execution of 5S and end‑of‑shift cleaning protocols.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and established procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- 2+ years of leadership experience (direct or indirect); direct supervisory experience preferred.
- Familiarity with standard warehouse processes, practices, and procedures.
- Strong judgment and experience in planning and achieving operational goals.
- Understanding of warehouse processes relevant to supervised functions.
- Ability to adapt quickly to operational changes and shifting priorities.
- Demonstrated experience driving cultural and process improvements.
- Strong motivational and delegation skills with the ability to assign responsibility effectively.
- Effective verbal, written, and presentation communication skills across departments.
- Ability to thrive in a multicultural, inclusive environment.
- Proven leadership and team‑building capabilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and SAP.
