Job Description
Experience
- Prior health care experience preferred
- Healthcare terminology proficiency preferred

Job Responsibilities
- Serves as the central scheduling resource for on-site Spanish interpretation.
- Serves as a central scheduling and monitoring of resources for contract interpreter needs for Sign and other spoken languages.
- Serves to assess and determine best mode of interpretation service to meet appointment needs, from on-site to telephonic or video interpreting resources.
- Serves to manage and triage acuity of interpretation requests and delivery of service.
- Works cooperatively with other departments, schedulers/requestors, and clinical providers to promote and maintain efficient interpreter services and processes.
- Maintains Interpreting Services databases, EPIC Interpreting Orders (inpatient and outpatient workflows) and relevant communication equipment.
- Serves to assign and dispatch Spanish on-site and contracted medical interpreters to clinical encounters.
- Assists department leaders with staff scheduling based on patient language demographic volumes.
