About the Role:

The Dismantler plays a crucial role in the automotive recycling process by efficiently dismantling vehicles to recover valuable parts and materials. This position requires a keen understanding of vehicle components and systems to ensure that all reusable parts are extracted safely and effectively. The dismantler will also be responsible for sorting and categorizing parts for resale or recycling, contributing to environmental sustainability efforts. Compensation: this position is paid piecework or per vehicle dismantled so the compensation can range from $1600 to more than $2500 biweekly depending on the efficiency of the dismantler. Our experienced dismantlers typically make in excess of $3000 biweekly. 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in vehicle dismantling or automotive repair is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of automotive systems and components.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in automotive technology or related field.
  • Experience with inventory management systems.
  • Familiarity with environmental regulations related to vehicle disposal.

Responsibilities:

  • Carefully dismantle vehicles using hand tools and power equipment while adhering to safety guidelines.
  • Identify and remove reusable parts, ensuring they are in good condition for resale or recycling.
  • Sort and categorize dismantled parts for inventory management and efficient processing.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.
  • Document the dismantling process and report any issues or discrepancies to management.
