Job Duties and Responsibilities
Director of Voice Core Engineering sought by DISH Wireless, LLC in Littleton, CO.
Engineer, build, manage, and lead an organization focused on Cloud-Native IMS Core Components such as A/I-SBC, I/S-CSCF, TAS, HSS, and MRF. Responsible for defining efficient integration processes and procedures that span DISH and vendor test labs, trial environments, and the live network. Build, manage, and lead the team that is engineering the IMS network including capacity planning, roadmap/feature introduction, dimensioning & deployment architecture. Work closely with IMS Operations Counterparts on network & service availability. Participate in the definition of the initial set of network KPI's to monitor network performance and continually refine them as the network matures. Participate in refining system and subsystem requirements with a focus on testability. Define requirements for 3rd party connections (Peerless, Intrado/Public Safety etc.). Generate, organize, manage, and oversee the execution of system and design verification tests to validate compliance with specifications. Provide input into the test automation framework as a critical engineering stakeholder to help deliver against the automation vision of the Wireless organization. Work with the team to understand and prioritize test exceptions. Guide the company toward requirements-driven development while adding immediate value during requirements definition and nimble product development processes.
Skills, Experience and Requirements
Requires Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Telecommunications Engineering plus 10 years in the job offered, System Engineer, Software Engineer, Engineer-Software Engineering, RnD Research Engineer, System Integration Engineer, Solutions Integration Specialist, or similar role. Requires 10 years of experience in roles requiring a strong understanding of telecom principles, including familiarity with 2G, 3G, and LTE. Also requires 7 years of experience with IMS while working with a major vendor or Wireless carrier. (Experience may have been gained concurrently).
Salary Ranges
Compensation: $200,000.00/Year
