The Software Development Manager III leads the Retail Wireless Core Technology group in scaling and maintaining critical microservices that power a high-growth platform. This role is responsible for bridging the gap between complex BSS/OSS architectures and seamless customer experiences while driving innovation through automation and modern cloud practices. By managing technical roadmaps and fostering a culture of excellence, this leader ensures the team overcomes engineering bottlenecks to deliver robust, high-availability wireless solutions.

- Scalable microservices architecture that aligns with departmental OKRs for system reliability and performance.
- Execution of software delivery cycles using Agile methodologies to ensure high-quality deployments within budget and timeline constraints.
- Strategic integration of AI-driven tools to automate code reviews and streamline the CI/CD pipeline for faster speed-to-market.
- Mentorship of engineering talent through structured career development paths that foster technical innovation and internal growth.
- Collaborative partnerships with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business requirements into efficient technical roadmaps.
Skills, Experience and Requirements
Core Skills and Competencies (What you'll bring)
- Expertise in architecting event-driven microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and Kafka within AWS environments.
- Critical experience leading and scaling high-performance engineering teams through complex technical transformations.
- Advanced analytical capabilities to resolve architectural challenges and optimize system performance under high-pressure scenarios.
- AI literacy and the ability to implement AI-assisted development workflows to enhance team productivity and code quality.
- Professional mastery of capacity planning and strategic roadmap creation to ensure efficient resource allocation.
- Refined communication skills for navigating stakeholder relationships and aligning technical initiatives with organizational goals.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Minimum Experience: 5 years of experience in a technical management role.
- Required Technical Skills: Must have at least 3 years of experience with:
- Java/J2EE and Spring/SpringBoot
- Microservices and Event-Driven Architecture (Kafka)
- Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- RESTful APIs and API Management tools

Salary Ranges
Compensation: $110,100.00/Year - $165,000.00/Year
