This role is responsible for translating underwriting intent into rule specifications for underwriting engine consumption. This requires a high level of independence and self direction, but also collaboration, analytical skills and attention to detail. This role will be client facing, requiring clear and professional communication skills that are polished and organized. The individual will also seek competitive intel on technological advancements, helping to advance the Underwriting and SCOR Digital Solutions strategy.
This role requires an innovative mindset, with an eye for process improvement. You will be joining a highly collaborative team focused on creative problem solving with our external clients and internal partners.
Responsibilities- Understand client objectives and processes, and plan and coordinate the execution of the internal implementation team’s fulfilment of those objectives.
- Work closely with other Velogica business implementation professionals to manage the process of onboarding new clients and adding new data sources and functionalities for existing clients.
- Support the Automation and Innovation team
- Collaborate with clients and multiple teams within Velogica, SCOR and Digital Solutions to understand underwriting requirements and intent and efficiently incorporate that information into Velogica.
- Work closely with the Product Owners to understand priorities and dependencies and communicate those priorities effectively to clients.
- Work closely with clients and Velogica, SCOR digital solutions teams, and Underwriting to conduct investigations and review and refine underwriting and configuration requirements and related software requirements and detailed designs.
- Create and maintain documentation to explain or simplify implementation efforts for the client and/or the internal implementation team.
- Create detailed documentation of client meetings and agreements.
- Consult with clients and potential clients to understand business needs and objectives and propose solutions.
- Create and maintain process documentation as required.
- Foster and participate in a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

- 10+ years combined life Insurance experience with underwriting, management, program risk management, process or product development.
- Experience working on or with automated underwriting engines required

Pay Range for roles performed in NC: $109,000-$133,500 base salary per year. Actual salaries may vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, role and performance. The range listed is just one component of SCOR's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long term incentives. In addition, we provide a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a retirement saving plan, paid holidays and paid time off. Since this is an Underwriting role, it has been approved to be remote.
