Job Summary
Responsible for overseeing and driving the national growth of specific adjacent trade expansions within White Cap. Identify new business opportunities, develop relationships with key industry stakeholders, and set and implementing strategic initiatives to expand market presence nationally. Leads efforts to achieve increased organic sales growth through expanding trades and ensuring the successful planning, execution, and delivery of trade expansion while maintaining quality, budget, and timeline requirements to senior leaders by working with field and functional leaders. If selected for this position, the company will run a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report. A requirement of this position is an acceptable MVR report.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities
Develops and executes a comprehensive strategy for adjacent trade expansion nationally (MEP, Waterproofing, Safety, and Geotextiles, etc.).
Collaborates with field and functional teams (Sales, Category, Purchasing, Marketing) to ensure the right inventory and supplier programs are in place to drive results.
Conducts market research to identify new growth areas, emerging trends, and competitive dynamics. Creates and implements plans to penetrate new markets and grow the customer base.
Builds and nurtures relationships with contractors, suppliers, and key stakeholders to secure new business opportunities.
Attends industry events, conferences, and trade shows to increase brand visibility and stay up to date with industry developments. Establishes partnerships with key stakeholders at industry associations to strengthen White Cap’s position in the market.
Oversees project execution for major projects within the trade area (MEP, Waterproofing, Safety, and Geotextiles, etc.), ensuring compliance with industry standards, deadlines, and budget requirements.
Prepares and manages budgets for the expansion strategy, ensuring efficient allocation of resources. Analyzes market trends and financial data to adjust plans and strategies as needed.
Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), including revenue growth, market share, and customer satisfaction. Works with senior leadership to ensure the profitability of trade expansion efforts. Provides regular reports to senior management on the progress of trade expansion efforts and provides recommendations for improvement.

Work Environment
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Typically requires overnight travel more than 50% of the time.
Education and Experience
Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 9+ years of experience in a related field, including several years in a management/supervisory capacity.
Preferred Qualifications
10+ years of detailed industry experience with a detailed emphasis in MEP, Waterproofing, Safety, or Geotextiles trades.
Strategic thought leader with strong technical knowledge and project management skills, capable of collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
