Role Overview
The Head of Total Rewards is a critical leadership role responsible for shaping and executing a global rewards strategy that enables Brooks to attract, motivate, and retain top talent. This role offers the opportunity to define and scale programs that support business growth, meet evolving global talent needs, and reinforce a high-performance culture.
This role partners closely with executive leadership to design competitive, scalable, and compliant compensation and benefits programs aligned to business strategy, growth priorities, and evolving global market dynamics.
Key Accountabilities
1. Total Rewards Strategy & Leadership
- Define and lead a holistic global total rewards strategy aligned with business goals and workforce priorities
- Integrate compensation, benefits, recognition, and wellness into a cohesive employee value proposition
- Drive programs that strengthen engagement, retention, and inclusion
2. Global Compensation & Executive Rewards
- Lead global compensation design including salary architecture, incentive plans, and equity frameworks
- Oversee executive compensation programs (base, bonus, LTIP, equity), ensuring alignment with performance and shareholder expectations
- Ensure global consistency while enabling market responsiveness across regions
3. Global Benefits Strategy
- Design and evolve a comprehensive global benefits strategy across all regions
- Oversee programs spanning health, retirement, wellbeing, and local market offerings
- Ensure scalability, competitiveness, and regulatory compliance globally
4. Equity & Incentive Administration
- Oversee equity program administration, including grant processes and governance
- Ensure accurate execution and strong employee understanding of equity programs
5. Market Intelligence & Analytics
- Leverage data and benchmarking to inform pay decisions and program design
- Monitor market trends to ensure competitiveness and cost-effectiveness
6. M&A and Transformation
- Lead rewards integration for mergers and acquisitions
- Ensure alignment, risk mitigation, and seamless employee transition
7. Governance, Compliance & Risk
- Ensure all programs meet global regulatory, tax, and compliance requirements
- Maintain strong governance and audit-ready practices across regions
8. Vendor & Partner Management
- Manage external consultants and vendors to optimize quality, delivery, and cost
- Evaluate and evolve partnerships to scale global programs
Experience & Qualifications
Required Experience
- 10+ years in total rewards, with deep expertise in global compensation and benefits
- Proven experience leading enterprise-wide rewards strategy in a global, matrixed organization
- Strong experience with executive compensation and board-level engagement
- Experience supporting M&A integration and business transformation
Technical & Functional Expertise
- Deep knowledge of global pay practices, benefits design, and regulatory frameworks
- Strong analytical capability with experience using benchmarking tools and data-driven insights
- Familiarity with HR systems (e.g., Workday preferred)
Leadership & Stakeholder Skills
- Executive presence with ability to influence senior leadership and boards
- Strong people leadership across global teams
- Ability to translate complex programs into clear, actionable strategies
Compensation
Base Salary Range: $166,154.04 USD to $224,796.65 USDFactors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
