The Opportunity

SRC Logistics is looking for a software product and engineering leader to guide RLMS, our proprietary commercial Reverse Logistics Management System. This is a high-impact role for a leader who enjoys building customer-facing products, developing technical teams, and turning real operating needs into dependable software solutions.

The primary focus of the role is commercial product leadership and software engineering. You will own the product roadmap, engineering execution, product quality, customer outcomes, and the technology investments that help RLMS grow. You will also provide leadership oversight for IT infrastructure and security through the IT Manager, specialists, partners, and SRC’s enterprise risk program.

What You Will Do

• Own the vision, roadmap, investment priorities, and long-term competitiveness of RLMS.

• Work with customers, operations teams, and company leaders to understand needs and set product priorities.

• Lead product and software engineering teams through planning, development, testing, releases, support, and continuous improvement.

• Set direction for software architecture, DevOps, integrations, data transfers, application health, reliability, and technical debt.

• Build strong delivery practices, including quality expectations, release readiness, production monitoring, incident learning, and clear ownership.

• Develop technology leaders and team members through coaching, feedback, accountability, hiring, and succession planning.

• Set priorities and risk expectations for infrastructure and security while leading daily IT operations through the IT Manager and qualified specialists.

• Manage the technology plan, budget, vendor relationships, and measures for delivery, reliability, customer outcomes, and business value.

What You Bring

• Ten or more years of progressive technology experience, including at least five years leading software engineering, product, technology, or related teams.

• Experience leading a customer-facing B2B commercial software product or another mission-critical enterprise application through growth, modernization, or major improvement.

• Experience with product roadmaps and software delivery practices, including architecture, testing, releases, DevOps, integrations, production support, and technical debt.

• A track record of developing people, managing budgets, working with senior leaders, and communicating effectively with customers.

• Working knowledge of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, business continuity, and vendor management sufficient to set priorities, assess risk, and lead specialists.

• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology, business, or a related field; comparable experience will be considered.

What Will Help You Stand Out

• Experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, manufacturing, or another complex operating environment.

• Experience serving OEM, enterprise, or integration-heavy customers.

• Experience with cloud modernization, application security, observability, CI/CD, and customer technology due diligence.

• A leadership style grounded in humility, ownership, sound judgment, and clear communication.

Why This Role Matters

Technology is central to how SRC Logistics serves customers, runs its business, and grows. This role gives the right leader the opportunity to shape a commercial software product and build the organization behind it—while helping the company use technology in a practical, secure, and customer-focused way.
