The Opportunity
The Talent Placement and Program Operations team plays a pivotal role in supporting fellows, alumni, and corporate partners, with two core functions: Talent Placement and Program Operations. With a focus on efficiency and effectiveness to unlock insights and achieve outcomes, the team is dedicated to enhancing organizational operations by facilitating talent engagement and role placement initiatives to ensure optimal outcomes for both talent and partners. The Director, Talent Placement and Program Operations is a critical role in managing the partner pipeline strategy to support the recruitment efforts of partners across specific industry segments. The leader is responsible for collaborating with the partnerships team to understand partner requirements and ideal candidate profiles for open roles, curating a list of suitable candidates for selection, and advocating for candidates to be interviewed and hired by partners. This leader will work closely with Career Pathway Advisors (CPAs) to ensure alignment on role requirements to support candidate sourcing and ensure candidates are well-prepared for interviews with matched partners. The Talent Placement lead will also work closely with the programs and alumni teams to ensure that fellow and alumni interests are considered when matching with partner internships and full-time roles. The Talent Placement Lead will also be responsible for gathering insights from partners and fellows to ensure that both constituents can be advised by the partnerships team and programs team respectively about how to be more successful in the process. In this pivotal role, the Talent Placement lead facilitates impactful placements that drive partner satisfaction and fellow success.

Work You’ll Do
Pipeline Management:
- Possess a deep understanding of specific industry segments, including key players, trends, and emerging opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with the partnerships team to better understand partner needs, priorities, and desired fellow/alumni profiles.
- Evaluate the skills, experiences, and aspirations of fellows/alumni to match them effectively with partner roles, ensuring alignment and fit.
- Help ensure an overall 90% placement rate for 2000+ fellows by matching them to good-fit partner roles within assigned industry segments.
- Ensure alumni are being networked with partners in accordance with open roles for experienced talent.
Strategic Planning
- Demonstrate a commitment to achieving placement targets and driving positive outcomes for both partners and fellows, measuring success through key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive partner pipeline strategy, identifying potential opportunities and areas for growth.
- Utilize data and metrics to assess the effectiveness of placement strategies, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
- Remain flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced and evolving environment, adjusting strategies and priorities as needed to meet changing partner needs.
Communication:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including programs and partnerships to ensure seamless execution of placement initiatives.
- Effectively communicate with internal teams and partners, conveying insights, recommendations, and feedback in a clear and concise manner.
Continuous Improvement:
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement, implementing best practices and innovative solutions to enhance team effectiveness and efficiency.
- Handle additional tasks essential for role efficiency and team success as needed
What You Have
- Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years experience in project management and with a track record of successful execution within cross-functional teams and/or a matrix organization
- Experience in corporate recruitment across entry level and experienced roles a plus
- Ability to manage multiple work streams simultaneously and prioritize tasks to achieve goals in a timely manner
- Proven track record of leading strategic initiatives to achieve organizational outcomes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exhibited ability to use data in decision-making
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Ability to build relationships and lead without authority to achieve shared goals
- Ability to work with key stakeholders, including senior leaders, in a cross-functional environment
- Excellent presentation, communication (oral and written), and interpersonal skills
