Job Summary

The Director, Supply Chain will provide strategic and tactical leadership for Procurement, Material Planning, Inventory, and ERP effectiveness in a high-growth precision manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for driving raw material and tooling availability and cost reduction, optimizing inventory, implementing and improving materials planning tools, and improving Epicor ERP effectiveness across all Prince manufacturing locations.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with deep experience in Procurement, Planning, Inventory, and Epicor ERP. This individual will partner closely with Business Unit GM’s, Manufacturing, Finance, Sales, and Executive Leadership to align Supply Chain processes with business objectives and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement

  • Lead the Procurement function across all Prince sites, and establish a clear strategy that supports business growth, margin performance, supplier consolidation, and risk reduction.
  • Develop and/or optimize and manage reporting tools for BOM cost reduction, PPV, shortages, category spend, supplier performance, tariff management.
  • Evaluate current raw material supply contracts, manage new contracts, and determine where contracts are prudent to secure material supply and leverage spend.
  • Analyze raw material spend and identify consolidation, contract, and/or mill-run options to reduce cost and improve availability.
  • Analyze tooling spend and identify consolidation and/or manufacturer-direct contract options to reduce cost.
  • Develop, mentor, and hold accountable all team members, building a culture of ownership, collaboration, urgency, and continuous improvement.

Planning and Inventory

  • Lead Inventory Management and Material Planning across all Prince sites, establishing a strategy to optimize inventory turns and materials availability.

ERP Effectiveness

  • Serve as the Epicor ERP Subject Matter Expert for supplier-facing and factory-facing modules.
  • Use Epicor experience and expertise to ensure that Prince is extracting maximum value from the ERP system and that ERP processes and reporting are optimized.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or related field required.
  • 7+ years progressive multi-site supply chain leadership, with significant experience in precision machining environments that serve Aerospace, Defense, or MedTech.
  • Proven experience leading supply chain teams directly and in a matrix structure, and partnering with operations, quality, finance, sales, and executive leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of the metals supply chain (aluminum, stainless steel, nickel alloys).
  • SME-level Epicor Kinetic ERP experience.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to connect decisions to cost, delivery, quality, customer satisfaction, and profitability.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and change management skills.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in aerospace, defense, industrial, medical device, automotive, or other highly regulated precision metals manufacturing environments
  • Familiarity with AS9100, ISO9001, or similar quality management systems
  • Experience operating within an ITAR environment
  • Experience in a high growth (20%+ per year) environment

  • Objective feedback from executives and GM’s confirming success
