The Director, Business Systems is responsible for enabling our supply chain from supplier to store through modern, reliable, and integrated technology solutions. The Director ensures systems not only support but fundamentally enable how the business operates, scales, and competes. This role serves as a strategic partner to executive leadership, shaping how technology enables core business capabilities and long-term growth. The Director owns end-to-end accountability for the design, development, testing and implementation of Manhattan Active Warehouse Management across all ADUSA Distribution Centers.
Our flexible/ hybrid work schedule includes 3 in-person days at one of our core locations and 2 remote days. Our core office locations are Salisbury, NC and Quincy, MA.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Serve as the enterprise leader for business systems strategy within an assigned domain
- Deliver critical supply chain transformation programs
- Successfully implement strategic platforms and initiatives including Manhattan Active WMS
- Act as a strategic advisor to executive leadership, influencing enterprise priorities, investment decisions, and capability roadmaps
- Define and own the enterprise roadmap and investment strategy, including funding allocation across competing initiatives and domains
- Own end-to-end system domain performance, including architecture alignment, scalability, integrations, and long-term sustainability
- Establish decision-making frameworks and governance that enable consistent prioritization and execution across the enterprise
- Own enterprise governance frameworks, policies, and standards for business systems, ensuring compliance, consistency, and scalability
- Lead enterprise-wide transformation programs impacting multiple functions, systems, and operating models
- Define and implement the enterprise operating model (product/platform, funding, and organizational design)
- Own vendor ecosystem strategy, including strategic sourcing, partnerships, and optimization of enterprise spend
- Ensure enterprise-wide data strategy alignment, integration architecture, and system interoperability across domains
- Drive enterprise capability maturity, benchmarking, and innovation to enable continuous transformation
- Lead a team, including managers and senior leaders, with accountability for talent strategy
- Own full financial accountability for the business systems domain, including investment portfolio, cost optimization, and ROI realization
- Ensure enterprise resilience, risk management, and business continuity across systems and platforms
- Define and track enterprise-level KPIs tied to business capability performance, value realization, and strategic outcomes
- Represent business systems in executive forums, driving alignment on enterprise priorities and transformation initiatives
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, CIS or related (or equivalent related work experience)
- 10+ years of experience in relevant job or field of technology. Experience in an advanced role or technical capacity.
- 5+ years of experience directly responsible for managing, guiding, training and onboarding team members in relevant technologies, capabilities or skills.
- Proven experience owning enterprise domains or large-scale system portfolios with cross-functional impact
- Demonstrated ability to influence executive stakeholders and shape enterprise strategy
- Proven track record leading enterprise-wide transformation initiatives and operating model changes
- Strong financial acumen with accountability for investment strategy, portfolio management, and ROI delivery
- Executive-level presence with ability to influence and communicate at board/executive levels
- Ability to lead in highly complex, ambiguous environments with enterprise-wide impact and accountability
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in relevant field of study
- Additional trainings or certifications in relevant field of study
- Agile/product experience
- Deep experience across multiple enterprise platforms and integration ecosystems
- Experience defining enterprise data and analytics strategies tied to business capabilities
- Experience in retail or grocery
ME/NC/PA/SC Salary Range: $139,120 - $208,680
IL/MA/MD /NY Salary Range: $160,000-$240,000
Actual compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on their unique qualifications and experience, internal equity, and market conditions. Final compensation decisions will be made in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
