STRATEGY & TRANSFORMATION OFFICE (STO)

As part of the enterprise Strategy & Transformation Office, the incumbent will collaborate with the senior-most executives and stakeholders across the organization to assist in the development and improvement of key enterprise strategic initiatives and will work closely with STO VPs and EVP to set project, office, and team direction.
The Director largely is responsible for:
- Project leadership – lead a portfolio of strategy projects from end-to-end, including: scoping the project, developing workplans, staffing workstreams, leading problem solving and solutioning, developing materials, building client relationships, influencing leadership direction, and presenting results to executive leadership.
- People leadership – responsible for the development and growth of a small team of strategists, including ongoing performance management and mentorship.
- Office leadership – improving how we work as a team, creating actionable improvement plans, supporting general office management to ensure team effectiveness and satisfaction.
This position is based out of the Pittsburgh (or Buffalo) office with a minimum 3-day per week in-office requirement Tuesday through Thursday.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform management responsibilities to include, but are not limited to: involved in hiring and termination decisions, coaching and development, rewards and recognition, performance management and staff productivity.
- Plan, organize, staff, direct, and control the day-to-day operations of the department; develops and implements policies and programs as necessary; may have budgetary responsibility and authority.
- Work with business / market owners to identify key business issues, apply right analytical framework, develop solution and recommendations, represent findings to stakeholders, and own the outcome.
- Manage major strategy projects with the help of internal or external strategy consulting resources.
- Supports Enterprise Strategy office in development of overall Enterprise Focus 5 strategy portfolio and cross-enterprise strategies as needed.

- Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Finance, Economics, or related discipline

EXPERIENCE
Required
- 3-4 years of experience as a consultant/client-facing member of services business, or 4 years of strategy experience,
- 2 years of experience in a healthcare related field, preferably inside health or hospital system or health plan
