The Director of Revenue Management is a vital leadership role that is responsible for developing and executing OptiFreight Logistics pricing strategies to optimize near-term performance while driving long-term growth. They are responsible for ensuring pricing aligns with market value and competitive dynamics as well as making improvements to existing pricing models, processes, tools; and lead, motivate, and develop the analyst in the pricing teams. This is a highly collaborative role that interfaces heavily with internal team members.
This position reports directly into the SVP/GM, OptiFreight Logistics.
Responsibilities:
Pricing Strategy Development & Execution:
- Lead the development and implementation of pricing strategies for new and existing products, ensuring alignment with business goals and market trends.
- Anticipate future pricing challenges and proactively adjust frameworks.
Pricing Architecture & Model:
- Design and maintain the company's end-to-end pricing architecture to ensure consistent structure, governance, and adherence across product lines.
Pricing Performance Assessment & Optimization:
- Lead the development and maintenance of pricing dashboards to track pricing performance across regions and segments.
- Conduct regular reviews of pricing performance and lead performance discussions with leaders and cross-functional teams.
Product Pricing Lifecycle Management:
- Develop and implement pricing methodologies for new product introductions.
- Manage the pricing lifecycle of existing products.
Data-Driven Analysis & Insights:
- Leverage data analytics, AI, and machine learning tools to drive pricing strategy insights.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Partner closely with Product Marketing, Sales, Sales Enablement, Finance, and Analytics.
- Engage with stakeholders across the organization to ensure alignment with pricing strategies.
- Present complex pricing strategies, recommendations, and insights in a clear and actionable way to stakeholders.
Team Leadership & Management:
- Oversee and lead a team of analysts and policy managers, guiding them in executing data-driven pricing strategies.
- Provide leadership and mentoring, as well as business and personal development to direct and indirect staff.
- Lead broader staffing and organizational structure decisions, including employee hiring, training, and development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred.
- 7-10 years of experience in product management, strategic finance, and strategic pricing roles preferred.
- Experience with pricing software and tools.
- Experience in leading high performing teams.
- Certification in pricing or a related field a plus.
- Experience managing and delivering multiple projects to deadline and budget simultaneously.
- Data-driven mentality with a focus on analyzing and synthesizing financial, usage, and/or research data to understand market trends and product performance.
- Experience working with Engineers & Product management to make product decisions on behalf of internal & external customers.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
- Ability to work remotely from home/field requires a dedicated, quiet, private, distraction free environment with access to high-speed internet. We will provide you with the computer, technology and equipment needed to successfully perform your job. You will be responsible for providing high-speed internet.
Anticipated base salary range: $114,700 - $185,000
* The salary range listed is an estimate. Pay at Cardinal Health is determined by multiple factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s geographical location, relevant education, experience and skills and an evaluation of internal pay equity.
