Job Description:

The Director, Specialty Markets will focus on the intersection of strategic solutions alignment and operational excellence in a dedicated specialty market space. This role will work in a cross functional matrix and demonstrates subject matter expert (SME) in one or more of the following specialties: Rheumatology, Cardiology, ENT/Allergy, Urology, Gastroenterology, and/or Pulmonology.
  • Prioritize clients by revenue, whitespace, and MSA to help the sales team qualify strategic prospective opportunities.
  • Partner with sales for alignment with Clients/Prospects quarterly meetings and with solutions and sales support teams to provide technical market specific knowledge and guidance as a trusted advisor to the client or prospect to support the sales or client services activities.
  • Collaborate with sales team to develop ROI model(s) for solutions adoption.
  • Partner with sales to develop presentations, provide demo/sales narrative(s), and specialty specific selling tools.
  • Enhance specialty solutions which supports federal, state, local grants and objectives.
  • Segment Clients within Specialty by applicable characteristics.
  • Define and prioritize solutions gaps, competitive differentiators, competitive landscape.
  • Collaborate with Product Management on market requirements and defining competitive advantages.
  • Define and prioritize services gaps, for implementation and training, consulting, and partner services.
  • Collaborate with market owners to develop business case to include 3-year financial model and define market characteristics plus specific window(s) of opportunity.
  • Outline organic and inorganic growth options, buy/build/partner.
  • Develop competitive pricing/packaging models that align with overall NGE pricing/packaging framework.
  • Collaborate with Market Manager on developing market messaging.
  • Perform other duties that support the overall objective of the position.
Education Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • Or, any combination of education and experience which would provide the required qualifications for the position.
Experience Required:
  • 10+ years' in ambulatory health organization.
  • 10+ years' solutions, sales, IT, or operational management experience.
  • Working experience with or advising clinician, administrator, or other manager with direct responsibility for operational improvements.

License/Certification Required:

  • Clinical or technical degrees, certifications, or licenses.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Knowledge of: IT operations in the ambulatory setting, clinical and administrative knowledge of the market, consultative sales acumen, and business operations of NextGen; deep understanding of 'mission driven' healthcare and its unique requirements for community care and government regulatory compliance.
  • Skill in: Creative and strategic thinking skills. Executive communication and presentation skills; collaborative.
  • Ability to: Foster teamwork; lead cross functional teams; be a trusted advisor to the market both internally and externally.

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, software engineering, or related field (or equivalent education/experience)
  • 10+ years of successful management experience
  • 8+ years working on technology-powered products (product manager, designer, engineer, analyst, or implementer/trainer)
  • 5+ years of experience as a Product Manager with measurable successes
  • Experience within an Ambulatory Healthcare environment (e.g., office manager, medical assistant, systems analyst)
  • Proven track record in product management within healthcare IT with increasing responsibility
  • Deep understanding of healthcare technology and product management best practices
  • Solid understanding of healthcare IT systems, interoperability standards, EMRs, telehealth, and digital health solutions
  • Strong leadership and team development skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to influence stakeholders
  • Ability to think strategically, analyze complex problems, and drive results
