Salesforce Inc. seeks Director, Software Engineering in San Francisco, CA:

Job Duties: Represent Log Analytics and Machine Learning-Infra teams in all planning, architectural, budget, incident discussions with other Salesforce leadership and develop vision and roadmap. Partner with Product Managers to align with objectives, priorities, and trade-offs, while driving the execution and delivery of features by collaborating with many cross-functional teams, architects, product owners, and engineers. Participate in architecture discussions and planning as well as cross-functional coordination, planning, and reviews with leads from other engineering teams. Contribute to development tasks such as coding and feature verifications to assist teams with release commitments, to gain an understanding of the deeply technical product as well as maintaining the highest quality. Daily management of standups as the Scrum Master for engineering teams, while ensuring teams have clear priorities and adequate resources. Partner with Salesforce Research and Data-Science teams and come up with the latest and most efficient data science/ml algorithms and push them to production. ˆHQ address additionally encompasses the following Salesforce locations in San Francisco: 350 Mission Street, 415 Mission Street, 50 Fremont Street. The permanent position may be offered at any of these locations in San Francisco. Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to Salesforce offices may be required.

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or a related quantitative discipline, and two(2) years of experience in the field of software engineering/program analysis or two (2) years of experience in the job offered OR Bachelor’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or a related quantitative discipline, and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the field of software engineering/program analysis or five (5) years of experience in the job offered. 

A related technical degree required (Computer Science, Engineering (any field)).

Special Skill Requirements: (1) Ehcache; (2) Distributed JVM; (3) Websockets; (4) Messaging Queues; (5) Hadoop; (6) HBase; (7) Zookeeper; and (8) Distributed Systems. Any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience is acceptable. Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to Salesforce offices may be required.

Salary: $273,915.00 - $384,100.00 per annum.

For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $273,915 to $384,100.
