As the Director of Engineering, you will lead a talented team in shaping the future of our patient-facing web application, which powers seamless registration, appointment booking, and more. You will also create software used by clinicans and provides the ability to deliver best in class care. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on engineering to drive innovation and scalability.
Location: 📍Hybrid- 2x a week in Palo Alto office required.

- Lead, hire a mentor a team of engineers while collaborating with a counterpart Director of Engineering located in India.
- Build and scale technology solutions that align with company goals and patient needs.
- Contribute to hands-on engineering including developing key application features, ensuring optimal architecture, and conducting thorough code reviews to maintain high-quality standards.
- Partner with Product Managers and cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact solutions.
What you’ll own 📈
- Build a high-performing team with a culture of accountability and collaboration.
- Balance quick solutions with scalable, long-term innovations.
- Software engineering roadmap, feature development, and architecture optimization.
- Work across teams like Product, Marketing, Clinical Operations, Business Operations, Sales to align engineering efforts with business priorities.
What you’ll need to succeed 🌱:
- 10+ years in engineering (consumer product or healthcare environment preferred)
- 5+ years leading high-performing teams ina Director level+ role
- Proven track record of scaling technology solutions post-product-market fit.:
- Expertise in Python, Django, React, and AWS.
- Familiarity with both Django Jinja templates and React Single Page Applications (SPAs)
- Strategic thinker with a pragmatic approach to balancing trade-offs.
- Exceptional communication skills to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders
Bonus Points: ⭐
- Experience with Electronic Health Record systems like AthenaHealth is a plus.
- Understanding of regulatory and compliance considerations in healthcare technology.
- Nice to have: Python pandas, numpy, data engineering, and data manipulation is a plus.
