Duties:
Responsible for directing a diversely skilled team of talented software engineers working on building foundational components required by OCC’s Renaissance Risk Platform, all while enriching and advancing the platform providing sound technical decisions around design, architecture and development. Design and deliver low-latency, fault-tolerant real-time financial data pipeline systems requiring specialized expertise in Apache Kafka and Apache Flink, including advanced performance profiling, memory optimization, and throughput tuning for high-volume enterprise workloads. Solve problems creatively, communicate effectively within and outside the team and proactively engage in technical decision making to achieve desired objectives. Direct the architecture and implementation of enterprise financial risk processing systems requiring deep expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and Apache Flink, including design of high-concurrency, low-latency risk computation engines, real-time event-driven microservices, and complex quantitative risk model integrations to aggregate, process, and model financial risk data from heterogeneous source platforms at enterprise scale. (replaced simpler job duty). Act as technical product owner in flushing out detailed business, architectural & design requirements. Lead development of solution / solution architecture on Renaissance Risk Platform core team. Execute large-scale cloud migration strategies requiring specialized knowledge of AWS infrastructure and CI/CD automation using Jenkins, Harness, and Docker to modernize complex legacy financial systems while sustaining zero-downtime delivery across terabyte-scale data workloads. Drive various enterprise level architecture initiatives covering Risk Platform interactions at enterprise level and help flush out reference architecture with POC/Designs. Implement end-to-end production observability frameworks for distributed financial streaming applications requiring advanced expertise in Splunk and AppDynamics for real-time performance monitoring, anomaly detection, and incident resolution at enterprise scale. Solicit business for their technical requirements and translate those into flexible, scalable, resilient design proposals. Review architecture proposals with tech leads and senior business partners. Lead and direct team to deliver complex IT projects which may involve multiple systems. Analyze, document, refine, and maintain architectures that are developed within the team. Create strategies and transition plans to deliver target state architectures. Recommend technologies and tools that improve the efficiency and quality of OCC’s systems and development processes. - The salary range listed for any given position is exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses. If hired at OCC, your final base salary compensation will be determined by factors such as skills, experience and/or education.
