Job Summary:

Trimont is seeking a Director, Senior DevOps Engineer to lead the execution of our DevOps and cloud engineering capabilities. This role will work as part of a high-performing team while maturing existing DevOps practices that support delivery in a rapidly expanding financial services environment.

The ideal candidate has strong technical depth, bringing a disciplined approach to automation, cost management, and change implementation. You will partner closely with technology engineering and business stakeholders, as well as external vendors, to deliver secure, scalable, and efficient platforms.

Responsibilities:

• Operate as part of a high-performing DevOps team.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
• Improve upon existing DevOps frameworks, standards, and best practices aligned with enterprise and financial services requirements.
• Drive adoption of CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and automated testing; supporting governance to balance speed, control, and compliance.
• Lead architecture and operations of secure, scalable, and resilient Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure for critical financial workloads.
• Partner with security and risk teams to ensure regulatory and compliance alignment.
• Operate and optimize DevOps toolchain (e.g., GitHub, Jira); enhance developer productivity through automation and standardized workflows.
• Implement and enhance observability, monitoring, and incident response practices.
• Support cloud financial management (FinOps) practices; drive cost transparency, forecasting, and optimization.
• Coordinate cross-team release planning and execution.
• Collaborate with internal teams and third-party vendors to align priorities and ensure accountability.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in technology, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
• 7+ years in DevOps, cloud automation, or infrastructure roles
• Experience supporting financial services or other regulated industries
• Strong hands-on experience with cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure
• Deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and automation frameworks
• Proficient with GitHub, Jira, and modern DevOps toolsets
• Strong collaboration and stakeholder engagement
• Effective communicator, able to bridge technical and business perspectives
• Outcome-oriented, with a focus on reliability, efficiency, and continuous improvement
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Containerization. 
• Deploy and Manage Containerized applications using Docker and Azure Container Apps
