The Role

Dandy is transforming the massive and antiquated dental industry—an industry worth over $200B. Backed by some of the world’s leading venture capital firms, we’re on an ambitious mission to simplify and modernize every function of the dental practice through technology. As we expand our reach globally, Dandy is building the operating system for dental offices around the world—empowering clinicians and their teams with technology, innovation, and world-class support to achieve more for their practices, their people, and their patients.

About the Role

Dandy is reinventing the dental lab industry. As a fast-growing startup, we’re redefining quality and efficiency through world-class design and cutting-edge manufacturing technology. In just five years, we’ve become the third-largest dental lab in the U.S.—and we’re just getting started.

We are seeking a bold, visionary Director of Quality. The majority of Dandy products are custom-designed and manufactured. With a strong commitment to innovation, speed, automation, and precision we’re building a world class team dedicated to delivering exceptional dental solutions. From crowns to clear aligners, we are focused on becoming a global player in this $20B industry. For Dandy, Quality isn’t just a checkpoint; it’s part of our DNA.

As the Director of Quality, you will lead the development and execution of our quality systems, ensuring every product meets the highest standards of safety, accuracy, and customer satisfaction. Delivering & maintaining MDSAP / ISO 13485 certification, this role is central to Dandy’s global aspirations. Additionally, you’ll work closely with design operations, manufacturing operations, R&D, customer support, and executive leadership to build scalable processes, support regulatory compliance, and cultivate a culture of continuous improvement. This is a hands-on leadership role at an early-stage company — ideal for someone who’s excited about building from the ground up and for scale.

  • Establish and lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) to address quality issues

  • Define and track key quality metrics (defect rate, returns, rejection rate, etc.)

  • Partner with Product and Operations to ensure design controls, manufacturing validation, and process capability

Culture, Coaching & Engagement

  • Build and maintain a winning team: establish the right mix of industry experts, quality engineers, generalists, and managers to support our future growth and aspirations

  • Ensure adherence to standards at every stage.
