POSITION OVERVIEW
At Franciscan, our Director of Quality improvement oversees the quality improvement activities of the department, including required quality monitoring, reporting, and submission of regulatory required metrics. This role supports the facility with maintaining accreditation/regulatory standards.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
Develop and manage one or multiple departmental budgets, including making budget allocations, approving expenditures and ensuring expenses are within budget
Collaborate with policy owners, risk management, and others for an investigation and corrective actions associated with adverse events and violations related to policies, procedures, and regulations
Identify key clinical and non-clinical practices and standards
Oversee the collection, analysis, and interpretation of related data, including contracted services
Make decisions for direct reports in one or multiple departments and perform people management activities such as performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, staff planning, and interviews
Ensure organization of Medical Staff performance improvement and peer review committee meetings including the preparation of agendas, reports, minutes and correspondence, OPPE/FPPE reports
Collaborate with other personnel in the development and design of new systems and procedures and/or the improvement of existing ones to improve quality and/or lower costs
Act as a liaison to hospital department managers to ensure coordination, standardization, and continuity of quality programs
Serve as a liaison between the facility, Board of Directors, Corporate, and external agencies with respect to quality performance reporting
Serve as the Quality Net Security Administrator, as required by position
Ensure submission requirements to internal and external requestors are met
Identify issues and opportunities to improve and participates in the development and implementation of action plans, and the measurement and verification of outcomes.
QUALIFICATIONS
Registered Nurse license (RN) in state of Illinois- Required
Associate’s degree in Nursing or health related field - Required
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or health related field - Preferred
5 years’ experience in Nursing/Acute Care Related - Required
