Job Overview:The Director of Quality Assurance is a strategic and experienced leader for our enterprise B2B eCommerce platform serving the healthcare sector. This role will lead the QA function for a platform built on SAP Commerce Cloud, Sitecore CMS, and an Angular-based front end, with integrations across a broad digital ecosystem. Will oversee both internal QA teams and the quality-related work of a global systems integrator, ensuring consistent quality standards, performance, and compliance across all regions and delivery partners.
Responsibilities:Define and implement a global QA strategy and operating model tailored for a B2B healthcare environment.
Lead a distributed QA organization with responsibilities spanning manual testing, test automation, performance testing, and release validation.
Oversee the quality deliverables and performance of a global systems integrator, ensuring contractual obligations and quality KPIs are met.
Drive automation-first testing strategies integrated into CI/CD pipelines, in collaboration with Engineering and DevOps.
Establish and monitor test governance, standards, and tooling across global teams and partner ecosystems.
Ensure the platform and all integrated systems meet security, compliance, accessibility, and regulatory requirements applicable to healthcare markets.
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including Product Management, Engineering, Support, and Commercial teams to ensure release readiness and platform stability.
Define, track, and report on key quality metrics such as defect leakage, test coverage, release defect rate, and partner QA performance.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement, leading root cause analysis efforts and process optimization initiatives.
Provide strategic direction and guidance on quality assurance practices during onboarding of new markets or systems.
Proven expertise in quality assurance leadership within enterprise-scale eCommerce platforms, ideally in regulated B2B or healthcare domains.
Experience managing and governing offshore/global systems integrator partners, with an ability to enforce quality SLAs and delivery standards.
Strong command of test automation frameworks (e.g., TOSCA, Playwright, Cypress, Postman), performance testing tools, and QA within Agile and DevOps environments.
Exceptional leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills; able to operate at both executive and technical levels.
Competence in driving test strategies for secure, scalable, and high-performing digital platforms in compliance-heavy industries.
15+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with 5+ years in global leadership roles managing distributed teams and vendors.
Direct experience overseeing QA for enterprise platforms in healthcare, life sciences, or similarly regulated B2B sectors.
Demonstrated success in managing QA relationships with global systems integrators, including contractual governance and operational oversight.
Strong track record of building and scaling QA functions across multiple geographies and time zones.
Experience with multi-country platform rollouts and support of live enterprise platforms with frequent release cycles.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
Familiarity with regulatory frameworks applicable to the healthcare sector (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR, is preferred.
Minimal travel (less than 10%)
