The Role
Candescent is seeking a Director Product Marketing to bring structure, momentum, and strategic clarity to how we position our platform and take products to market. This is a highly visible role for a self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset.
In this role, you will:
  • Own product positioning and messaging across Candescent’s platform and solutions
  • Lead go-to-market execution for new products and feature launches
  • Align cross-functional teams around clear customer value and differentiation
  • Build structure and frameworks in an evolving, high-growth environment
  • Collaborate deeply across Product, Sales, Customer Experience, Operations, and agency partners
  • Help shape the Product Marketing function and mentor future PMM hires as the company scales
What You’ll Do

Product Positioning & Messaging

  • Develop clear, differentiated value propositions and messaging frameworks for Candescent’s platform and feature set
  • Translate complex technical capabilities into compelling, customer-centric narratives for banks and credit unions
  • Ensure consistent positioning across website content, sales collateral, campaigns, and other external-facing materials

Go-to-Market Strategy & Execution

  • Lead end-to-end go-to-market planning for product releases and feature launches
  • Define ideal customer profiles (ICPs), buyer personas, launch readiness checklists, success metrics, and communication plans
  • Drive cross-functional alignment with Product, Sales, Customer Success, and agency partners to ensure flawless execution

Competitive & Customer Insights

  • Own and maintain the competitive landscape, delivering clear points of view on differentiation and positioning
  • Partner with Product, Sales, and CX to understand customer needs, adoption challenges, and market trends
  • Turn insights into actionable recommendations that influence messaging, launches, and product strategy

Sales Enablement

  • Create customer-ready assets including pitch decks, one-pagers, feature sheets, battlecards, demo narratives, and FAQs
  • Support sales training and ensure messaging consistency across teams
  • Equip Sales with the tools and stories needed to confidently win in competitive deals

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Act as a connective link between Product, Sales, Customer Experience, and Marketing
  • Manage agency partners across design, content, research, and creative workstreams
  • Communicate clearly and confidently with senior leaders, technical teams, and external stakeholders

Future Team Leadership

  • Operate as a strong, hands-on individual contributor today
  • Help define the vision, processes, and standards for the Product Marketing function
  • Mentor and support junior PMMs as the team scales
What You Bring
  • 8+ years of product marketing experience in SaaS, fintech, or adjacent B2B enterprise markets, including 3–5 years in a leadership role
  • Proven success building differentiated narratives, leading product launches, and driving measurable revenue impact
  • Strong analytical and storytelling skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts for diverse audiences
  • Deep experience in competitive intelligence, market analysis, persona development, and influencing product roadmaps
  • Executive presence with the ability to inspire and influence without formal authority
  • Demonstrated success partnering closely with Product, Sales, and Marketing teams, as well as managing agency partners
  • Entrepreneurial, hands-on mindset balanced with strategic vision; thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Economics, or a related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship is available for this role
