Role Profile
We’re looking for an experienced Director of Product Marketing to take ownership of global product positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategy. You’ll lead a product marketing team of 4 and work cross-functionally with Product, Sales, Customer Success, and the wider marketing team to ensure our solutions resonate with our markets, drive adoption, and deliver measurable commercial impact.
This role is for a strategic, data-driven marketing leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a passion for translating complex solutions into compelling narratives, and knows how to lead high-performing teams to success.
This is a full-time permanent role reporting to the Global Head of Marketing and working collaboratively with the Product Leadership team.
This role is balanced working model between home and in our modern and centrally located UK - London office close to St Paul’s, Blackfriars, and Farringdon with an excellent and a wide variety of services and transport links situated nearby.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and own the end-to-end Go-To-Market strategy & process that drives revenue growth and customer acquisition for new product developments, major feature releases, and entry into new market segments.
- Serve as a strategic partner to senior leadership, shaping product and commercial decision-making.
- Develop and maintain our product architecture and ensure it connects meaningfully to the Lloyd’s List Intelligence brand and all audience segments.
- Partner with Commercial and Product teams to influence product roadmap based on market intelligence, customer needs, and competitive dynamics.
Go-to-Market Execution & Commercial Enablement
- Build the framework for repeatable go-to-market processes
- Own the end-to-end development and execution of go-to-market plans for new products, features, and capabilities, ensuring precise positioning and impactful launches both internally and externally
- Lead sales enablement efforts, guiding the team of product marketers in creating collateral such as case studies, battle cards, sales decks, one-pagers, and persona-specific playbooks.
- Collaborate with regional marketing and sales teams to ensure consistent, persona-driven campaigns and enablement tools across global markets.
- Drive pricing and packaging strategy in partnership with Product and Commercial teams, optimising rollout and adoption.
- Regular interaction with Revenue Operations and Sales Enablement to align GTM activities with sales processes, pipeline goals, and GTM KPIs (i.e. adoption rate, ACV, market share, pipeline generation, customer acquisition cost).
Customer Marketing
- Work with our Customer Marketing Manager to provide strategic direction for a comprehensive customer marketing program that spans awareness, onboarding, adoption, expansion, and renewal.
- Oversee the development of segmentation, behaviour-based triggers, and personalised content to drive retention, advocacy, and customer lifetime value.
- Partner with Customer Success leadership to identify customer journey pain points.
Competitive & Market Intelligence
- Support in-depth market analysis, competitive landscape assessments, and customer segmentation to identify opportunities and inform GTM strategy.
- Work with product, sales and marketing to define target audiences, buyer personas, and key customer problems that the product addresses,
- Lead ongoing competitive intelligence efforts, including win/loss analysis, competitor benchmarking, and market landscape reviews.
- Provide insights to inform pricing, packaging, and roadmap priorities.
- Maintain deep expertise in market trends and target verticals, representing the voice of the market within the organisation.
Content Strategy & Thought Leadership
- Ensure content aligns with product positioning, addresses key buyer personas, and connects with industry trends to build brand authority.
- Oversee creation of high-quality content including blog posts, whitepapers, case studies, webinars, videos, and solution briefs.
Performance Measurement & Optimization
- Conduct post-launch analysis and retrospectives to identify successes, failures, and key learnings for future GTM initiatives.
- Continuously monitor market trends, competitive actions, and customer behaviour to identify opportunities for GTM strategy optimization and innovation.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of four product marketers, fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the company's overall GTM framework
What we are looking for:
Essential
- At least 10 years plus experience in B2B product marketing
- At least 4 years plus experience managing and mentoring product marketing teams
- Proven track record of developing successful go-to-market strategies and product launches
- Experience in maritime, trade, finance, fintech or regtech sectors or within supply chain
- Experience working in a global, fast-paced organization
- Track record of delivering strategic impact across pricing, GTM strategy, customer lifecycle execution, and thought leadership content
- Experience using Eloqua and Salesforce.com
- Strong executive presence and communication skills, including experience presenting to C-level audiences
Desirable
- Experience in a high-growth startup environment
- Previous experience working in a PE backed business
- A degree in any discipline (Business related or marketing degree’s preferable)
- Certified education in the latest Marketing tech and tools
