Job Description

The Product Marketing Director will partner with merchandising, sales, and creative teams to establish compelling product stories that resonate with and excite consumers across global markets and channels. Working closely with the Vice President, Integrated Marketing & Brand Strategy, the Product Marketing Director will drive product-focused monthly and seasonal launch initiatives. This role will manage internal and external creative partners during the development of supplemental seasonal marketing tools. We’re looking for someone who can partner with channel marketing, brand activation, and ecommerce teams to ensure the best expression of our brand’s product marketing at all distribution points. The Product Marketing Director will also work with the Marketing Operations, Creative Ops and Merchandising Ops to build cross-functional processes and ensure timely deliveries are being met. 

What you'll get to do: 

  • Lead, develop and execute comprehensive product marketing plans and campaigns to drive awareness, adoption, and sales of our products. 
  • Collaborate closely with product partners: design and merchandising teams to ensure alignment on product positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies; planning to ensure depth of buy for key product stories.  
  • Leverage consumer insights and market trends to identify trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscape to inform product positioning, seasonal considerations, and marketing strategies. 
  • Create compelling product messaging and value propositions that resonate with our target audience, highlighting key features and benefits of our products. 
  • Plan and oversee the launch of new products, coordinating across departments to ensure a seamless and impactful launch. 
  • Lead seasonal campaign and asset development, from brief to creative concept to delivery of photography, video, and execution tools for omni-channel usage 
  • Partner with Content Strategy to ensure the prioritize product F&B, and ensure the right message is delivered 
  • Monitor and analyze marketing performance metrics and adjust strategies as needed to optimize campaign effectiveness and achieve business goals. 
  • Partner with regional marketing leads to optimize product marketing calendar and executions, including localizing messaging and exclusive products/campaigns. 
  • Lead a product marketing team of 4+ people to deliver seasonal and monthly product launches that meet business objectives and support seasonal investment. 
  • Collaborate with Merch Planning, Channels and Brand Activation teams to optimize product communications calendar in real time as inventory shifts and launch dates change closer to market 
  • Partner with Marketing Operations on Integrated launch plans, deliverables and promo alignment. 

Qualifications

Who you are: 

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.   
  • 12+ years marketing experience; including 7+ years proven experience within product marketing, preferably within the apparel industry with a focus on performance or sports apparel. 
  • Strong understanding of marketing principles, including product positioning, market research, and campaign development. 
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful marketing strategies and campaigns. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling and persuasive content. 
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking to track and measure marketing effectiveness. 
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

The salary range for this role is $170,000 per year - $200,000 per year. This role is bonus eligible.
