Role Overview:

Director, Product Marketing is responsible for developing and executing go-to-market strategies, positioning products, and aligning cross-functional teams to drive customer engagement and revenue growth. 

In collaboration with a Product Marketing Manager, the broader corporate marketing team and leader, as well as the Product development and management teams,  you will conceive and develop innovative marketing programs that drive demand and understanding of a suite of integrated products and services.. Attention to detail and an eye for quality, along with the ability to grasp and translate our services into benefits is crucial.  In your role, you will be the expert on our customers, understanding their needs along each step of the customer journey, and helping to move them along each stage. 

Additionally, you will be charged with developing the strategy around the messaging and marketing for new products and services. 

Role Responsibilities:

  • Owns creation of the yearly and quarterly product marketing strategy to align with the overall company strategy
  • Manages product marketer(s) to execute upon the marketing strategy 
  • Coordinates with product leaders to execute upon the strategy, helping to build cohesion and efficiency of builds by recognizing dependencies, mitigating risks, and creating roadmaps that deliver efficient and effective results
  • Maintains close competitive insight to drive strategy decisions 
  • Collaborates in reviewing additional revenue opportunities by reviewing opportunity through revenue potential, alignment to core strategy, and comprehensive understanding risk/rewards 
  • Designs the process for strategy implementation and documentation processes to drive internal efficiencies and risk mitigation
  • Partners with external consultants as needed to validate key strategic product decisions
  • Understands, articulates, and evangelizes market needs
  • Knows target markets, buyers, and users, as well as the processes they follow to purchase products and drive engagement
  • Defines product requirements
  • Build buyer profiles to inform marketing programs and set context for product strategy.
  • Plans and coordinates all aspects of product launches, including supporting various sales channels and marketing efforts through delivery of clear value propositions and sales tools
  • Identifies, monitors, and analyzes indicators to determine how well a product is performing in the market
  • Collaborates with corporate marketing and product development to recommend pricing changes, packaging and integrated offers.

Role Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent working experience
  • Past experience in product marketing and/or product management. Pragmatic marketing framework preferred. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills – there is a heavy amount of writing and presenting/selling ideas in this role 
  • Proficiency in content management systems.  You will be expected to build product pages and update websites, as well as work in Hubspot and Asana.
  • Prefer working in a collaborative, cross-team capacity.  This role requires you to work across functions and departments to bring the product to life.

  • Fair, Competitive Pay:  We ensure equal pay for equal work, using consistent salary bands based on market benchmarks, reviewed annually. Prior salaries, negotiation skills, or fear of conflict don’t influence your pay.
  • Salary Range: $112,600 to $140,800, determined by your experience, skills and internal equity.
