Travel is a $4 trillion industry running on software from the last century. We are fixing that. Wander.com is the leading marketplace for exceptional vacation homes with best-in-category guest satisfaction. WanderOS takes that same battle-tested engine and puts it in the hands of every property manager on Earth: conversion-optimized direct booking websites, automated guest marketing, and AI-powered distribution to millions of travelers. Operators own their brand, their bookings, and their guests. No middlemen.
Wander is led by a second-time founder and an all-star team from companies like Shopify. We are a Series B company gearing up for Series C, and product velocity has gone vertical: AI agents, payments, new distribution channels, and performance products, all shipping on a cadence most companies would call impossible. We call it Tuesday.
Our mission is to help people find their happy place. Our vision is to build the infrastructure for people to experience the world. If you want to make a dent in one of the largest industries on the planet, this is the place.
Product velocity at Wander has gone vertical. Now product marketing has to match it. As Director of Product Marketing for WanderOS you own the strategic voice of the platform that runs travel operators' businesses: how we position it, how we generate and convert demand for it, how we launch every product and feature, and how we keep thousands of operators engaged as the platform evolves at ludicrous speed.
You will report directly to Wander's CMO and work closely with our VP of Sales and the GTM team in Austin on accelerating WanderOS across the globe. You will build and lead the product marketing function, set the bar for how we launch, and be the person Product, Sales, and the founder look to when it is time to tell the world what we built. This role is remote across the US or Canada. If you are in Austin or San Francisco, we have offices waiting for you (SF is in the Presidio).
What you'll doStrategy and positioning
- Define differentiated positioning and messaging frameworks for WanderOS that make the value obvious to every operator segment, from independent hosts to large property management and hospitality businesses.
- Own buyer segments, operator personas, and the competitive landscape, and use them to shape product strategy and priority audiences.
- Partner with Product and GTM leadership to establish value propositions that drive adoption, expansion, and long-term retention.
Own the launch system
- Own our tiered go-to-market launch system end to end. Tier 1 launches (six-week lead time): full launch video with shorter cuts for ads, dedicated product sub-page, dedicated emails to customers and prospects, distribution across every relevant channel, full sales enablement, and a full launch plan. Tier 2 (two weeks): shorter or animated video, dedicated email, one-pager for Sales and CS, social posts. Tier 3 (one week): dedicated customer email or inclusion in the monthly product update.
- Set launch tiers with the CMO and Product leadership, lock dates with product owners, and run cross-functional launch readiness across Product, Design, Video, Sales, Partnerships, Growth, and Support. Multiple launches per month, every month.
- Direct launch collateral: messaging decks, launch scripts and videos, sales enablement kits, operator testimonials, and website content that translate features into operator outcomes.
- Own event strategy for WanderOS (industry and Wander events) and our gifting strategy for leads and customers.
Demand generation
- Build and run demand generation campaigns with Marketing and Sales that fill the operator pipeline with qualified leads.
- Develop top and mid-funnel content: landing pages, webinars, case studies, email nurtures, and gated assets that move prospects toward conversion.
- Define lead nurture journeys with lifecycle and CRM, optimizing messaging at every stage of the funnel.
- Equip Sales with positioning, battlecards, and enablement, and produce high-quality customer stories and social proof that convert.
Product communications
- Own how WanderOS talks to existing operators: release announcements, feature spotlights, in-app messaging, changelogs, and email updates that drive feature adoption.
- Translate complex platform capabilities (AI agents, payments, distribution, performance) into clear, benefit-led narratives that demonstrate ongoing value and support expansion and retention.
Analytics and insight
- Define and track KPIs across awareness, lead generation, acquisition, activation, adoption, and retention.
- Analyze product usage, funnel performance, and competitive trends. Run win/loss analysis and operator research and feed it back into messaging, prioritization, and the roadmap.
Leadership and enablement
- Hire, lead, and develop product marketers as the function scales.
- Enable internal teams with training, competitive intelligence, and concise product narratives. Advocate for operator needs inside product planning.
- 8+ years in product marketing, ideally in B2B SaaS, travel tech, or property management software, including experience leading product marketing or a team.
- Proven record building positioning and running demand generation and go-to-market campaigns with measurable pipeline and revenue impact.
- You have owned product communications and release messaging that drove real feature adoption.
- Strong analytical skills: research, segmentation, funnel analysis, performance measurement.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication. You can write the script, the email, the deck, and the board slide.
- Deep understanding of platform-led growth and the operational realities of the businesses our customers run.
- Hardcore. You set a high bar, move fast, and build teams that ship.
- Background in travel, hospitality, vacation rentals, or property management.
- Experience marketing operational or workflow software, or AI products, to business users.
- Familiarity with modern product analytics, A/B testing frameworks, CRM segmentation, and lifecycle marketing. HubSpot experience a plus.
- Base salary: $165,000 to $200,000 USD. This is Series B startup market rate, with placement in the range based on seniority, experience, and location. Canadian offers are calibrated to local market rates.
- Meaningful equity. You will own a piece of what you build.
- Health, dental, and vision coverage.
- Remote-first across the US and Canada, with offices in Austin, TX and San Francisco (Presidio) if you want a desk.
You could spend the next few years polishing the narrative at a company that ships twice a year. Or you could own the story of the platform rewriting how a $4 trillion industry operates, at a company that ships every week. Apply now.
