Job DescriptionReporting to Marketing leadership, this role serves as the critical “translation layer” between the product, the market, and the sales organization, with a specific and deep focus on key manufacturing verticals, including Automotive, Industrial, and CPG.
The Director of Product Marketing for Industry Verticalization is responsible for driving the definition and execution of packaged solutions for these industries, which includes:
Developing a compelling Value Proposition
Establishing clear Differentiation vs. competitors
Defining the target ICP + Personas
Identifying specific Pain points by role (e.g., CFO, COO, CIO, Plant Manager)
Mapping out high-impact Use cases by industry
Creating a cohesive Messaging Architecture
Responsibilities:
Positioning, Messaging & Category Authority
Own the industry-specific narratives of why QAD wins.
Create messaging architectures and frameworks focused on “Industry-Outcome Translation”—converting shop-floor reality to financial value and into executive value.
Define value propositions and persona-based pain points for ERP buyers (e.g., CFO, COO, CIO, Plant Managers, VP Ops, etc.).
Competitive Intelligence, Battlecards & Sales Enablement by Industry
Own core talk tracks.
Conduct competitor analysis and win/loss insights.
Develop battlecards, differentiation strategy, and displacement messaging.
Own why QAD wins against competitors in key industries of focus and define the critical differentiation points.

Use case stories
Objection handling guides
Industry talk tracks
Product Launch & Ongoing Adoption of Industry-Based Solutions
Go-to-market strategy for new modules.
Packaging & pricing input.

Internal launch readiness.
Drive Industry-Based Messaging Alignment
Drive industry-based messaging alignment for campaign and revenue expansion.
Partner with channel partners and key technology and services partners (e.g., AWS).
Work closely with the Channel team (Partner Management and Channel Marketing).
Education / Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
CPIM certification preferred
Pragmatic Institute certifications preferred
Experience
7+ years of experience driving measurable revenue impact through marketing B2B Enterprise Software
Direct experience or deep knowledge of the Automotive, Industrial, and/or CPG manufacturing verticals
Proven ability to develop and execute winning go-to-market strategies
Experience translating complex manufacturing software solutions (e.g., ERP) into compelling, industry-specific value propositions and outcome-focused messaging
Marketing Technology Proficiency
Hands-on experience with Marketing Automation platforms (Marketo a plus)
Salesforce CRM
Successful execution of Account-Based Marketing (ABM) tactics
Digital Fluency
Advanced knowledge of the digital marketing landscape, web strategy, and emerging technologies (especially social and mobile) as they apply to B2B demand generation in the manufacturing sector
Leadership & Core Competencies
