About Milwaukee Electronics – Products Division

Milwaukee Electronics is a privately held, family-owned Electronics Manufacturing Services company with over 70 years of engineering and manufacturing excellence. In addition to our core EMS business, Milwaukee Electronics operates a proprietary Products Division serving the material handling and industrial automation markets.

We are looking for a Director of Product Management with direct conveyor system experience; someone who understands how these systems are designed, sold, built, and optimized in real-world industrial environments.

This role is based in our Milwaukee, Wisconsin location. We are open to candidates nationwide and offer relocation assistance for individuals with direct conveyor and material handling product experience.

Summary

You will lead the product strategy, roadmap, and performance of our conveyor and material handling product portfolio—from market insight through commercialization and lifecycle optimization.

This role sits at the center of engineering, operations, and commercial execution.

You will:

  • Own and drive the multi-year product roadmap for conveyor and material handling solutions
  • Translate customer applications and system requirements into scalable, profitable products
  • Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) from concept through production
  • Drive margin expansion through cost optimization, design improvements, and supplier strategy
  • Partner with Engineering and Operations to ensure products are manufacturable, reliable, and scalable
  • Build strong alignment across Sales, Marketing, and Channel partners
  • Establish and manage product portfolio KPIs (revenue, margin, lifecycle performance)
  • Identify new growth opportunities across applications, markets, and adjacent product lines
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing product management team

Required Industry Experience

To be successful in this role, you must bring:

  • Direct experience with conveyor-based material handling systems, such as:
    • Belt conveyors
    • MDR (Motor Driven Roller) systems
    • Sortation systems
    • ASRS / warehouse automation systems
    • Pallet handling or integrated automation solutions
  • Experience working within:
    • Material handling OEMs
    • System integrators
    • Industrial automation solution providers
  • Proven ownership of:
    • Product roadmap and lifecycle
    • Product P&L and margin performance
    • Cross-functional execution (engineering, operations, supply chain)

What will Set You Apart

  • You understand how conveyor systems actually work in the field, not just in theory
  • You’ve made decisions that impact cost, manufacturability, and system performance
  • You can move between technical discussions and executive strategy seamlessly
  • You know how to balance custom solutions vs scalable product strategy
  • You bring a strong Voice of Customer mindset grounded in real applications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Engineering, Business, or related field)
  • MBA preferred

Experience Requirements

  • Direct experience with conveyor-based material handling systems (e.g., belt conveyors, MDR, sortation systems, ASRS, pallet handling, or integrated automation systems)
  • 10+ years of progressive Product Management experience in an industrial or engineered products environment
  • Proven ownership of product roadmap, lifecycle, and P&L performance
  • Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and commercial teams

Why Join Milwaukee Electronics - Products Division?

  • Opportunity to lead and shape a growing products business with strong executive support
  • Backing of a financially stable, family‑owned manufacturing company
  • Ability to make a visible impact on product strategy, innovation, and customer outcomes
  • Collaborative culture that values engineering excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement
