Are you ready to lead the charge in developing innovative solutions for a fast-growing digital marketing platform? We’re searching for a Director of Product Management to spearhead the growth and evolution of Search Atlas.
As the Director of PM (Technical) at Search Atlas, you will own the multi-product strategy and execution that powers the next generation of AI-driven SEO software. You will lead and develop a team of highly technical PMs, collaborate directly with our Founder and VP of Engineering, and drive innovation across LLMs, crawling, data pipelines, backlinks, content, PPC, dashboards, and analyst-facing workflows.
This role is designed as a step-up opportunity for someone currently operating as a very senior, hands-on Technical Product Manager, Group PM, or Lead PM.
Unlike traditional Director roles, this position remains 50% hands-on and deeply technical. You will lead strategy and PMs, but you will also stay “on the tools”—writing SQL, validating AI outputs, prototyping with LLMs, and shaping product architecture directly alongside engineering
Responsibilities- Own end-to-end product strategy, roadmap planning, and portfolio alignment across multiple pods.
- Translate company goals into clear product themes, quarterly initiatives, and measurable outcomes.
- Manage and develop a team of Technical Product Managers, improving spec quality, research standards, and experimentation practices.
- Partner with engineering, design, data, growth, and support to prioritize dependencies and deliver high-quality releases.
- Lead quarterly planning, multi-pod roadmap alignment, and release governance.
- Oversee development of AI-powered insights, agents, and ranking intelligence systems.
- Guide PMs on SQL/Python data validation, structured prompting, accuracy checks, and AI reasoning frameworks.
- Ensure data correctness, UX consistency, and narrative clarity across dashboards and modules.
- Shape high-fidelity user experiences across Site Metrics, OTTO SEO, BrandVault, and future modules.
- Build and enforce product quality standards—QA, AI validation, UX reviews, and data accuracy—for high-reliability releases.
Requirements
- 8+ years in Technical Product Management, including 2+ years leading PM teams.
- Strong technical foundation:
- Advanced SQL
- AI/LLM familiarity (prompting, metrics, evaluation, scaffolding, agent behavior)
- Python for analysis and automation
- Advanced SQL
- Ability to prototype directly with LLM tools (Claude Code, Cursor, ChatGPT).
- Experience with Git/GitLab workflows, CI/CD, branches, and engineering ceremonies.
- Strong product writing: PRDs, technical specs, test plans, architectural notes.
- Excellent communication skills; operates with speed, clarity, and high ownership.
- Experience working in fast-moving, high-expectation environments.

- SEO, search data, or programmatic content background.
- Prior experience in data engineering, UX, QA, or analytics tooling (Retool, Mixpanel).

Salary & Benefits
- $140,000-$200,000K/USD annually + Bonus +equity- depending on your location and skills/experience
