Drive Merillat brand and product strategy and execution including brand marketing, go to market initiatives, lead gen, and product development.

PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the brand and product team for the Merillat brand and product lines.
  • Achieve revenue, profit and key performance indicator objectives established for brand portfolio via marketing & product initiatives.
  • Establish and bring to life brand positioning and value proposition.  Work with internal and external agencies to develop creative materials to support launch, consumer marketing touch points, and lead generation initiatives.
  • Lead business case development and gate presentations for all new brand and product initiatives.
  • Partner with channel strategy, sales, engineering and program management to ensure delivery of new products & brand marketing initiatives on-time, on-spec and on-budget.
  • Be the voice of the Merillat brand and customer throughout the organization.  Drive customer research efforts in partnership with channel marketing and sales.
  • Support definition of pricing strategy in partnership with sales, marketing, pricing and finance teams.
  • Manage, train, provide performance feedback and assign duties of direct reports to ensure productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 10 years marketing and/or product management experience
  • Demonstrated strong business acumen and knowledge of industry and competitive trends.
  • Ability to think strategically with supporting analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated successful ability to build positive partnerships and work collaboratively with cross-functional business teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with internal and external customers.
  • Excellent project management skills including leading cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated successful leadership, including personnel and organization development.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • MBA.
  • Familiarity with the cabinet industry and product.
  • Familiarity with dealer, home center and/or designer channel.
