Director, Product Management

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering or a related field.
• 8+ years of product leadership experience.
• Product Management experience spanning both service/support technology including supply chain systems (WMS, inventory planning, demand forecasting, ERP)
• Familiarity with forecasting and inventory optimization methodologies (safety stock, demand sensing, replenishment algorithms)
• Comfort with data-heavy product decisions — reading dashboards, working with data science/analytics partners, defining KPIs for service and supply chain outcomes
• Experience operating in a matrixed environment, partnering with engineering, operators and business stakeholders across distinct functions

Job Summary

Leads the strategic vision and product roadmap across the customer journey, ensuring all products are aligned to the vision and are leveraging company standards and best practices.  Identifies and connects interdependencies and supports business review, while attracting, motivating, and mentoring top product management talent.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities

• Partners with functional and technical leaders to identify and plan capabilities necessary to meet short and long-term business needs.
• Develops and executes strategic plans in support of key objectives in a timely and fiscally responsible manner.
• Drives strategic alignment between products in order to provide a seamless user experience across the enterprise.
• Implements robust processes and frameworks for product management, ensuring continuous assessment and refinement to optimize efficiency, quality, and timely execution.
• Acts as a key liaison for product management initiatives, providing updates and insights to senior leadership on progress, effectiveness, and strategic direction.
• Oversees product development by monitoring performance, directing team efforts, and addressing issues to ensure alignment with company, stakeholder, and end-user priorities.
• Attracts, retains, develops, and motivates product management talent, providing leadership, mentoring, and coaching to direct reports, and conducting annual and mid-year reviews.

Nature and Scope

• Problems are typically defined by higher level leadership. Problems are difficult. Solutions require analysis and investigation.
• Decides how to achieve planned results within an organization's plans, policies, and guidelines. May set or change plans/goals within respective department or area.
• May manage department via multiple layers of managers OR directly supervise a staff of professional individual contributors at the senior or technical advisor level.

Work Environment

• Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
• Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
• Typically requires overnight travel 5% to 20% of the time.

Education and Experience

• Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 9+ years of experience in a related field, including several years in a management/supervisory capacity.
