Director, Product Management
The Global Authentication Product team is looking for a Director, Product Management to help lead Mastercard's next generation authentication strategy and product execution, with a primary focus on Digital Payment Credentials (DPC) and the evolution of authentication beyond traditional payment-centric models.
The mission of this role is to drive the global execution, delivery governance, and market adoption of Digital Payment Credentials (DPC), ensuring consistent implementation across regions, alignment with Mastercard authentication programs, and successful translation of strategic product objectives into scalable customer solutions.
This role will help translate Mastercard's DPC product vision and strategic direction into an executable global roadmap and scalable delivery model. Working closely with the DPC Product Lead, the role will drive product planning, execution governance, market enablement, and cross-functional alignment required to accelerate DPC adoption globally.
The ideal candidate combines strong product leadership, payments and authentication expertise, strategic thinking, and ecosystem influence. The individual can translate complex market, regulatory, and technology developments into executable product strategies that create value for issuers, merchants, wallet providers, and consumers.
Role
In this role, you will:
Product Strategy & Vision• Contribute to the definition of the long-term product strategy, roadmap, and investment priorities for Digital Payment Credentials (DPC) in partnership with the DPC Product Lead.• Help translate strategic objectives into actionable product roadmaps, investment priorities, and delivery plans.• Support the refinement of DPC positioning within Mastercard's broader authentication portfolio.• Provide market, customer, and ecosystem input to influence future product direction.• Drive alignment between DPC, Identity Check, Token Authentication Framework and future authentication frameworks.
Product Leadership & Delivery Governance• Own execution planning and roadmap delivery for DPC initiatives globally.• Lead feature prioritization and release planning in alignment with approved product strategies.• Establish product governance frameworks and ensure consistency across DPC initiatives globally.• Drive product planning and prioritization in partnership with Engineering, Architecture, Legal, Security, and Regional Product teams.• Act as escalation point for product and delivery decisions.• Recommend enhancements that improve authentication security, convenience, interoperability, and credential portability.
Commercialization & Market Expansion• Support the development of commercialization plans, product packaging, and go-to-market activities.• Partner with Regional Product and Commercialization teams to identify adoption opportunities and implementation priorities.• Help evaluate emerging use cases and customer needs that may influence future platform evolution.• Drive execution of market enablement initiatives that accelerate customer adoption
All About You• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.• Significant experience in Product Management within payments, authentication, identity, cybersecurity, or digital commerce.• Proven experience defining and launching global platform products.• Deep understanding of authentication technologies including EMV 3-D Secure, FIDO/passkeys/WebAuthn standards, tokenization, and wallet ecosystems.• Strong strategic thinking and business acumen with demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders.• Experience working with regulators, industry forums, standards organizations, or ecosystem partners.• Excellent communication, presentation, and executive engagement skills.• Ability to navigate ambiguity and lead complex cross-functional initiatives across geographically distributed teams.
