Job Description
Join us and change the world together at Achieve Lending! We're undergoing a massive transformation, fueled by a bold three-year strategy to aggressively grow our lending business. Our mission is to become a digital-first, AI-enabled lending powerhouse - and, with our sister business, Achieve Debt Relief - to solidify our position as the leading platform in Consumer Liability Optimization.
Achieve's Lending Product organization supports our market growth through two core ecosystems: a Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) platform and a technology-first Third-Party Originations (TPO) channel. Our TPO business is reimagining the intermediary lending landscape by deploying API-first infrastructure, frictionless wholesale and correspondent portals, and instant underwriting tools that empower external brokers to deliver Achieve's industry-leading HELOCs and mortgages at scale.
The Role
The Director of Product Management serves as a senior leader within our Lending Product organization. In this role, you will be a driver of the overarching product strategy, architectural vision, and commercial success for our foundational lending product lines-including our best-in-class HELOCs, mortgage loans, personal loans, and next-generation financial products.
As a strategic leader, you will manage, grow, and inspire a multi-tiered organization of highly skilled Product Managers at all levels. Partnering closely with the VP of Product, General Managers, and executive leaders across Marketing, Sales, Credit Risk, Capital Markets, Engineering, Legal & Compliance and Operations, you will steer the digital infrastructure and technology innovation required to accelerate Achieve's market capture and redefine digital first lending origination.
Overview of Key Responsibilities:
  • Organizational Leadership & Scaling: Build, scale, and mentor a world-class, multi-layered product management organization. Establish a high-performance culture rooted in operational discipline, continuous talent development, and product management excellence.
  • Lending Product Strategy: Define and champion the long-term product vision, strategy, and investment roadmap for the Lending Product organization. Ensure the portfolio balances immediate commercial scaling with long-term foundational technical architecture.
  • Lending Platform Modernization: Provide leadership and direction for the development of our next-generation, API-first lending architecture. Drive the modernization of our core lending origination systems, automated decisioning frameworks, real-time pricing engines, and external partner ecosystems.
  • Accountability: Be accountable for the business performance of Lending product lines, tracking core metrics including funnel performance, close rates, time-to-fund and product profitability.
  • Cross-Functional Synchronization: Act as a critical liaison between Product and key executive stakeholders in Marketing, Capital Markets, Credit Risk, Legal & Compliance, Sales, and Operations. Ensure complex industry regulations are met and seamlessly integrated into scalable, friction-free customer software experiences.
  • Market Leadership & Innovation: Drive the adoption of emerging technologies, modern data/analytics capabilities, and alternative data underwriting methods to keep Achieve ahead of fintech competitors and shifting macroeconomic conditions.

Qualifications
Technical & Leadership Competencies:
  • Domain Expertise: Deep knowledge of the end-to-end digital consumer lending lifecycle, automated credit risk rules engines, modern loan origination technology stacks, secondary market/capital market constraints, and equity/unsecured debt products.
  • Architectural Vision: Proven experience overseeing complex API-first platform transformations, modern cloud architecture transitions, and enterprise-level data layer definitions. Can comfortably align technology roadmaps directly with VP-level Engineering leaders.
  • Executive Presence & Influence: Exceptional track record of presenting to, influencing, and aligning C-suite executives and regulatory bodies on highly strategic, high-capital decisions.
  • Execution Excellence: A proven leader who has successfully taken product lines from zero-to-one, as well as scaled consumer facing lending platforms
