SafeLease helps self storage operators protect and expand their businesses. Our core product has achieved product market fit and is growing rapidly. With our existing customers, technology and stellar reputation as a jumping off point, we see a number of adjacent opportunities where we can help operators run their businesses even better with less risk. As our Product Management Director responsible for the platform, you'll play a pivotal role in transforming SafeLease into a full multi-product organization. You will lead our existing product while exposing critical components for use by a host of new offerings. This is a hybrid role in our downtown Austin, Texas office.
What You’ll Do
- Define the direction for the platform that will support 5+ products maximizing the leverage we get to provide compounding value
- Direct the core safelease products of Tenant Protection and Tenant Insurance to continue expanding the engine enabling SafeLease’s growth
- Conduct both user and market research to identify customer needs, market gaps, and emerging trends
- Translate market insights into actionable product concepts and ideas
- Coordinate within the growing Product Management team to ensure each product has what it needs to be successful
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop detailed product requirements and operational procedures, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs
- Drive the execution of product development initiatives, collaborating with the engineering team in the prototyping, development, and launch processes
- Create and refine internal processes and third party collaborations to address facility issues quickly and efficiently
- Talk to customers and see if we’ve knocked their socks off or missed the mark; review analytics and gather feedback from internal stakeholders to guide what we do next
About You
- 5+ years experience in Product Management
- Track record of success growing and maturing products in a fast paced environment
- Proven analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate market insights into actionable product strategies
- Deep understanding of and appreciation for great customer experiences
- Willingness and eagerness to take a hands-on approach to finding elegant solutions to complex product challenges
- Understanding of market and industry trends
- Self-starter who has proven their ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in rapidly changing environments
- Strong accountability, work ethic, and sense of urgency
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to diverse audiences
