Overview:
Mastercard Identity is seeking a Director of Product Management to lead key areas of the Account Protection portfolio, focused on delivering a trusted intelligence layer that enables persistent defense across the full lifecycle of an account-from onboarding through monitoring, recovery, and investigation.
Mastercard Identity, within the Security Solutions organization, leads the development of products and services that enable global commerce, power financial inclusion, prevent crime, and make some of the most seamless experiences possible. As part of Mastercard Identity, the Account Protection team drives the development and management of products, programs, and services focused on account risk management, both pre-onboarding and post-onboarding, addressing critical threats to businesses including account takeover, synthetic identity fraud, and mule activity and more.
The Director of Product Management, Account Protection, plays a key role in Mastercard's Identity team by contributing to the development of scalable, interoperable solutions that enable businesses to securely identify and trust consumer accounts across digital ecosystems. This role is responsible for driving strategy, product development, and commercialization of next-generation Account Protection solutions powered by network-scale identity data, risk signals, and intelligence.
The Director works closely with senior product leaders and cross functional teams-including engineering, data science, privacy, commercialization, and legal-to help define requirements, support product development, pricing and packaging decisions, and ensure products are market ready. Through customer and market analysis, value articulation, and launch execution, the Director will drive Identity Account Protection solutions that improve account security for customers, mitigate fraud risk, and achieve commercial objectives aligned with Mastercard Identity's Account Protection strategy.
The Role:
• Define and execute on a set of Account Protection products across the full account lifecycle• Translate portfolio vision into clear product priorities, investment decisions, and business cases• Identify and lead high-impact expansion opportunities across monitoring, recovery, modification, and investigation phases• Lead end-to-end product lifecycle: discovery, definition, build, launch, and iteration• Define product requirements and data needs, partnering closely with Engineering and Data Science• Engage directly with issuers, fintechs, and platforms to validate product concepts and refine roadmap• Translate customer fraud challenges (e.g., ATO, AI-driven fraud, recovery gaps) into differentiated capabilities [Account Pr...n Feedback | Meeting]• Support GTM teams with product positioning, strategic deals, and customer engagements• Define the data strategy underpinning account-level intelligence across signals (identity, device, behavioral, network)• Drive innovation to improve overall network-level fraud detection• Align stakeholders on strategy, roadmap, and investment priorities • Drive adoption through API integrations, partnerships, and regional commercialization• Develop pricing, packaging, and monetization strategies
All About you:
• Experience in Product Management, Commercialization, Data Analytics, Strategy, or Finance, with experience in fraud, identity, risk, payments, or fintech • Experience owning end-to-end product lifecycle and driving measurable business impact• Strong understanding of account lifecycle risk (onboarding through monitoring and recovery) • Familiarity with fraud vectors such as account takeover, synthetic identity, and mule networks • Experience with data-driven or API-based products• Ability to coordinate with stakeholders and influence people of a diverse range of backgrounds • Display strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Strong written and verbal communication with the ability to establish credibility and strong relationships with stakeholders • Excellent Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word proficiency• Comfort with and an ability to adapt in a rapidly changing environment • Working knowledge of identity, digital payments, and security landscape is an advantage • Bachelor's degree required, advanced or master's degree is an advantage • Ability to travel up to 15%

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in Canada, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive pay based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program. Pay Ranges
Vancouver, Canada: $150,000 - $234,000 CAD
