Title and Summary
Director, Product Management, Developer Experience
About Mastercard Developers
Mastercard Developers is the single entry point for Mastercard partners to access a diverse range of payment, data, loyalty, and security APIs. Our team is responsible for delivering an experience that ensures developers can quickly find the right API, assess its technical capabilities, and integrate it into new and innovative solutions.
The Role
We're looking for a Senior PM to drive product strategy for Mastercard's developer platform in the AI era. This means owning our agentic developer tooling, shaping how we show up in AI-powered search and discovery, and building the commercial motion for a distribution channel that doesn't have a playbook yet.
The work is early-stage and cross-functional. You'll operate across Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Sales to turn bets into programs with clear owners, measurable outcomes, and momentum. This is as much about defining what we build as it is about shipping it.
What You'll Work On
- Define the product roadmap for Mastercard's agentic developer tooling: agent skills, MCP servers, CLI tooling, and the standard for what "agent-ready" means across our API catalog.
- Partner with Strategy and Product teams across Mastercard to define our position in the agentic channel. Map our API catalog against agentic use cases, align on priorities, and build a shared commercial motion.
- Represent Developer Experience in cross-functional GTM conversations. Bring the developer and API perspective into discussions about packaging, pricing, and distribution for the agentic channel.
- Align stakeholders across Product, Sales, and Marketing around a shared commercialization hypothesis, then test it with a small number of design partners.
- Set success metrics for each initiative and put the reporting structures in place to track them.
What We're Looking For
- Experienced in product development, with meaningful time on developer platforms, API products, or developer tooling. Someone who has built alongside engineers, not just managed the surface.
- Fluent in the AI tooling ecosystem. You understand how developers use AI coding assistants today and have a point of view on where that's going.
- GTM experience is a plus. If you've worked with Sales or Marketing to bring a technical product to market, that context will help you in this role.
- Ability to operate in ambiguity and build from 0→1
- Clear communicator across audiences. You can write a tight strategy doc, run a stakeholder alignment meeting, and give an exec briefing without losing the thread between them.
Corporate Security Responsibility
All activities involving access to Mastercard assets, information, and networks comes with an inherent risk to the organization and, therefore, it is expected that every person working for, or on behalf of, Mastercard is responsible for information security and must:
- Abide by Mastercard's security policies and practices;
- Ensure the confidentiality and integrity of the information being accessed;
- Report any suspected information security violation or breach, and
- Complete all periodic mandatory security trainings in accordance with Mastercard's guidelines.
Skills Required
- Experience in product development on developer platforms, API products, or developer tooling
- Proven ability to build alongside engineers and deliver technical products
- Fluency in the AI tooling ecosystem and understanding of AI coding assistants
- Ability to operate in ambiguity and build from 0->1
- Strong written and verbal communication; ability to write strategy docs and brief executives
- GTM experience working with Sales or Marketing to launch technical products
- Adhere to Mastercard security policies, protect information, report violations, and complete mandatory security trainings
