The Role
About SailPoint

SailPoint is the definitive leader in identity security for the modern, cloud-first enterprise. We empower thousands of companies across the globe by providing unparalleled identity security of their human and digital workforce's. Our mission is to ensure every worker has precisely the right access to do their job—no more, no less.

At the core of our success is the SailPoint Identity Security Cloud Platform. Built on a sophisticated foundation of AI and machine learning, our platform intelligently delivers the right access to the right identities at the right time, seamlessly matching the scale, velocity, and dynamic needs of today's enterprise.

About the Role: Director of Product Management, Data & AI Platform

We are seeking a visionary and experienced leader to join as the Director of Product Management for our core Data and AI Platform. This is a critical, high-impact role where you will be responsible for the foundational data infrastructure that powers all of SailPoint's AI-driven insights and intelligent features.

This is not just another data platform role. You will be at the heart of identity security, working with one of the most comprehensive identity data sets in the world. Your primary responsibility will be to build and scale the platform that collects, processes, and enriches this vast identity data—from user entitlements and access history to roles and activities. Crucially, this platform will be designed to intelligently collect, transform, normalize, correlate, summarize, and store customer-specific and third-party data, creating a unified data ecosystem that serves as the "single source of truth" for our AI services, and which can be used for multiple purposes such as search, querying, graph and AI.

For the AI Platform, you will own delivery of the core AI tools that enable other product teams—including our Harbor Pilot teams -- to build and deploy their own AI-powered features. Your platform will provide the leverage that multiplies the efforts of our entire R&D organization, ensuring consistency, quality, and speed. Success in this role means empowering SailPoint to deliver smarter, faster, and more predictive identity security solutions to our customers.

What Success Looks Like Within your first 3 months, you will:
  • Develop a deep understanding of SailPoint's existing data architecture, our unique identity data assets, and the strategic objectives for AI.

  • Develop understanding of how to efficiently use AI to deliver faster and with higher quality

  • Present a revised, prioritized, practical and yet aggressive 6-12 month product roadmap for the Data and AI Platform, outlining key data services and infrastructure needs that will enable the next wave of AI features.

  • Define initial platform requirements and use cases for the highest-priority initiatives, focused on creating measurable leverage for internal engineering teams and tangible value for customers.

Within 6 months, you will:
  • Be effectively leading your team, managing the product backlog, and making strategic trade-off decisions that align with SailPoint's broader business goals.

  • Oversee the delivery of the first scalable data platform solutions under your new roadmap, demonstrating immediate value to your internal stakeholders.

  • Implement data-driven processes to track platform usage, performance, and adoption, using these insights to guide continuous optimization.

Within the first year, you will:
  • Have successfully delivered significant new platform capabilities that are being actively used by multiple product teams to launch innovative, AI-powered features.

  • Act as a key evangelist and thought leader for SailPoint's data strategy, confidently articulating the platform's vision and value both internally and externally.

  • Be recognized as a strong leader and mentor, having fostered the growth and development of your product management team while shaping the long-term (12-18 month) roadmap for the future of identity data at SailPoint.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

  • 8+ years of product management experience, with at least 3+ years in a leadership role managing a team of product managers.

  • Demonstrated expertise in building and scaling enterprise-grade data platforms, with a focus on AI and machine learning enablement.

  • Demonstrated experience and deep understanding of designing data platforms for backward compatibility and with robust migration tooling

  • Proven experience with cloud-based software (SaaS) and a deep understanding of agent-based technologies.

  • Deep expertise across the data technology landscape, including relational/non-relational databases, large-scale data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake), and modern streaming systems (e.g., Kafka, Flink).

  • Strong ability to formulate and execute a practical plan for a reliable, scalable data system and the architecture to support it.

  • Demonstrated expertise in leading and mentoring team of product managers

  • A track record of defining, launching, and scaling successful data platforms and AI-powered products in an agile environment.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and align stakeholders from the engine room to the executive suite.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Direct experience with identity and access management (IAM) data and concepts.
