The Director of Policy and oversight will be a member of the Accelerator Element (ACE) or a diverse team of Subject Matter Experts that directly support the Mission Solutions Group (MSG) Presidents strategic initiatives. The ACE is chartered to provide three pillars of support that are underpinned by an understanding of innovative technology, policy, and MSG customer requirements.

These pillars consist of:

  • Mission Transformation Support
  • Innovation Incubation and delivery
  • Business Development Support

The Director Policy, and Oversight oversees the development and implementation of data protocols, formulates policies related to data collections, processing and dissemination ensuring compliance with regulations and oversight mechanisms. You’ll be responsible for process development and compliance with dissemination of commercial information, mitigating risks, and maintaining effective communication between various stakeholders.

As the Director Policy, and Oversight, you'll lead efforts to design and enforce data security measures, develop, and implement policies related to data security, intelligence oversight alignment with commercial information sharing, and ensure compliance with regulations. Your role involves overseeing the protection of sensitive information, assessing potential risks, and establishing mechanisms for oversight and accountability across the three pillars stated above. You'll collaborate with stakeholders to address emerging threats, conduct investigations when necessary, and provide guidance on best practices as a member of the ACE team across MSG.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive data security strategies, policies, and protocols to safeguard organizational assets and information.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate information sharing and collaboration on data security-related matters.
  • Establish and maintain oversight mechanisms to ensure compliance with data security policies, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Oversee intelligence related activities, including the collection, analysis, and dissemination of commercial information to support decision-making processes.
  • Stay abreast of emerging threats, technologies, and trends in data security and intelligence, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Security Studies, Criminal Justice, Political Science, or a related discipline. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Extensive experience in security management, policy development, and intelligence analysis, with a minimum of 20 years of relevant experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of security principles, practices, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex situations and develop effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability, with experience leading and managing teams in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working in government, military, law enforcement, or intelligence agencies is a plus.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain necessary security clearances as required.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Experience with public speaking, technical writing and leading executive engagements
